There will be a BLAK sponsored race, The Deneb Run, on Sunday at around 1:00am gametime (According to my /time) in the game. This is the same time as the race last week.

Rules will be:
1) Racers must race from Odia M14 through Deneb heading clockwise back to Odia M14.
2) Race starts in Odia M14 near the station.
3) Contestants must be within 100m of me before the start
4) No shooting before I start the race.
5) You die and you're out (so no /exploding)
6) All weapons and ships allowed.
7) First person to get back and dock at Odia M14 wins the first prize. (1 million creds)
Second person back gets 600k
9) Third person gets 400k

Put your name down if you're interested. I won't start it with less than 6 racers.

Holden Caulfield will (hopefully, barring any encounters with those nasty vipers) be reporting from his camera-equipped IBG again.

Also, the ISPN (Intergalactic Sports Network) will accept Advertisements for 20k per spot. Each spot is at most 1 line long. The network will air the spots on its descretion. Payment is due only *after* the event, but defaulters will get, uh, "free" spots next time...

Maybe I'll see if I can avoid at least one storm this time...

Sold all my crap. Made about 1.3 mil. I should do that more often. 15 minutes to spare, even!

Hmm I'll post the results in a while. I'm having too much fun hunting Serpentine and playing in B8.

Oh Nooooess I lost my errors.log file. Therefore there will be no times for the race today unless someone else who was involved reads this and sends me their errors.log file from the race time.

Anyway. It was a very close race with the lead being swapped several times between Shape from BLAK and Lebermac from IA. Screwball from TGFT and Otemir Ortec from EnB swapped 3rd and 4th often and Thesaadri had to drop out due to a medical condition (he got hungry and dinner was served)

In the end Lebermac took home the 1 million credits for first prize, Shape received 600k for second and Screwball got 400k for third with Otemir coming fourth.

Mostly Centurion 2's without weapons but Otemir brought a Valk Vengeance and Thesaadri brought an IDF Valk.

Apparently TGFT were very happy with Lebermac's results and are looking forward to extending his deal.

No race next week (unless someone else wants to hold it) I'm on holidays.
