OK, no fair having Cap Ship in Sedina B-8 special events when I'm stuck at work. I hereby declare that to be against the law.

There needs to be something for UIT space. Serco and Itani have all the fun: Special ships, special weapons, CtC and now a cap ship?!?! We UITers are poor bastards, we dont even have a home planet, and our space is the smallest of all, on top of that circled by pirates from almost all sides who roam grayspace and serco and itani left and right.
Devs, pleeeeeeease something cool for UIT? Something that fits into the background story of course!!

UIT have the Marauder, which is visually the coolest of all the nation ships, IMO. But, it doesn't "feel" as special, because many of the corporate factions also have Marauder variants; in fact the UIT version is pretty much the worst one (of course, most if not all the corporate factions are supposed to be UIT sub-factions).
I agree that UIT should have some advantages to counter the Serco & Itani special military ships, but IMO not by making the Marauder a better combat ship (it's already decent, if not spectacular). What I'd rather see is some significant changes in the faction standing system, and give UIT players advantages there. I've suggested this before, and I still think it would be a good thing.
Something like:
- Itani/Serco players lose 1 point of standing with the enemy nation for each point of standing they gain with their home nation, and lose 2 points of standing with their home nation for each point of standing they gain with their enemy nation.
- UIT Players lose 1 point of Itani/Serco standing for each 4 points of Serco/Itani standing they gain.

Just a question though. Did the pilots controlling the turrents get anything for killing the pilots attacking? Like combat points or a pk kill point?
If so the itani attacking should get something for killing the turrents.

Things I did while waiting to be a turret.

Ok, so I guess the friggy is stuck on a load screen between Bethashee, and Geria, oh well, maybe a server reset is in order?
the respawn time on the frigate is wack, I never get to see it when I get home and it spawns when I'm asleep. Can we increase the spawning or create MORE of them to be killed/protected??? I'm liking what I'm hearing, xp for turret kills and such, but I'm never around when it is. Please devs do something about that.
We'll look at changing the respawn time of the cruiser. But, keep in mind that we're still testing it. Once we fix things so it isn't dying quite so easily, or running into asteroids, or doing various other dumb things, it (and other capital-scale ships) will start to have a greater role in the universe. This is still a "work in progress" period for big ships.

I hope some introductory content is pressed out soon. I'm noticing the player volume decreasing to a disturbingly low number. It seems many are losing interest in the game. that can be an exponential downfall, because MMO's grow less interesting when there are fewer players.
Keep it up devs, I hope you've got plans to keep player volume kicking, I don't want to see this game fall. It's so awesome, it just needs the love.
I don't want to look like I'm overcritizing the devs, I appreciate their work, i'm just pointing out what i've noticed and how I feel about it. I don't know that the devs don't already have a bunch of great content backbuilding and waiting to explode, all I see is trickles of new stuff that I haven't even had a chance to see. (The cap ship that is)
So far life for Apex in VO is been patrolling grey and killing YARRs (when they're around)
I just see the huge potential this game has. I dream of the day that we'll need traffic patrol between wormholes because of the player volume :)

Does the cap ship go into deneb yet so everyone can fight it with out the damn serco strike force being there.

Well, I think when u implant features, you should make them availble to all players. It seems that people who chose to be UIT are falling out the boat with this. But because the itani-serco borders wars are done in then north, its maybe a better idea to make cap ship turrets avaible for UIT who have a good standing with that faction. Say 500+. This gives them a way to choose a side.
InsanePilot, do you post a lot before finding out what's actually going on?
1) UIT, Serco and Itani all get cruisers when a special event is triggered, and they make their way to B8.
2) Anyone with a standing of +201 or higher can dock and man the turrets.
