I've got alot of really awesome screenshots that I could send to guild software.
We could have a player submited section.
Also it would be nice if we updated the official screenshots.
+Requirements for those would be.
-Graphics up the entire way (or close).
-And of course approval by the developers.

Any objections?

yeah we definitely need some new ones, for example, the current one is just false advertising, there's no station like that right now.

While new screenshots would be nice, I think it would take more of the devs time than it's worth for them to do it right now. What I see as a better solution would be us setting up a community site for screenies. I think it would be fairly easy to set up a screenshot section on the VendettaWiki, although that would use up more bandwidth, which has already been a problem with the wiki.

Would give me a reason to save screen shots for things other then black mail...

I don't know that it would take that much more time, they just put new screenshots into the database they already have. It seems to go through them randomly anyhow.

what would take time is deciding which screan shots were worth server space. somone has to look at all the shots the get and screan out the nedlesly redundant, and unimpresive ones

Well, then we just have a voting system. All the screenshots go up to the user submitted section, the highest rated ones join the site. No mess at all.

About the wiki... I think if you politely asked Lemming, he would add (your) screenshots to the rotating picture on the front page.

You would have to send the screen shots to Lemming so he could do whatever photo-touching he does.

Except the wiki (and the whole vo-gate site) is still down for exceeding the monthly bandwidth allowance. :-(

Yea it would be cool to have a section in the wiki but seeing how the bandwidth limit is exeeded.... also we don't want that to happen again. I don't think there's much of a bandwidth limit on www.vendetta-online.com <--(cool site!) And it will bring new blood into VO. Everyone likes eye candy (looks at 177 screen shots waiting patiently in VO folder) MUWHAHHAHAHAA!

But let's keep it a small amount... we don't want the same pics of planets over and over again so maybe we could vote a few off the site and on every week.
(I know I know it works in theory but having the voting system in place is probably too much work)

I've seen the same rotating pictures everyday....
We have cooler ones now :)
