So what is going on with the CAP ship?

Why not make the #@$*ing thing indestructable or almost compltly so it stays alive for more than a few @$#%ing hours. *~*

Hmmm.... Perhaps another factor will be needed to be added into combat.

Right now armor is HP and doesn't have much effect. If armor caused a damage reducton based on its current armor amount and then would allow mroe damage through as the ship took damage that should increase the life span of the Frigate but this will also affect all other ships and could pose an issue if the reduction amounts aren't balanced out.

Another option would be shields or an outer casing that would give the damage reduction mentioned above.

A damage reduction wouldn't cause any weapon to deal 0 damage (probably reduce weapon damage to no less than 10% or so) so at least weaker weapons would be able to affect the cap ship but heavy ships would also have more use in fighting a large ship since they would be proper weapon platforms that they were meant to be.

I think some kind of stapled-on poultry-based ablative armour would do the trick.

The solution is plain and simple. Make it spawn more!!!!!!!!!! That way more people get to see it and find more problems! Geez, I'm sorry but I feel some of these other poor peoples pain when they talk about not getting to see it.

Whats going on with the cap ship :

Lots of reports I hope.

As its there to test at this time.

It has obvious issues, I used a moth to send it into a Itani pilot (sorry Niki, heh) who then got attacked by it and its defenders.

It tried to dock when I rammed it, and ended up becoming part of the station.

Its all part of the ever evolving universe, and its what keeps me here.

Why not have the SMV Nemisis retire and have another Heavy Assualt Cruiser built in the Itani system and have millions of monks use phsycic powers to build a shield on the hull of the ship. :)

how about having it spawn once every two hours, and if the old one isnt dead, they fleet it up? Its still a easily killable sitting duck, but at least it wont be lonely then.

itani should get one exactly the same as serco. come on devs, just spawn one for them that does the same thing so we can have a go attacking :)

I would rather see something different for the Itani. Somethign like the cannons would be nice but they would be easy to hit so they would need some serious fire power (more than a frigate) to be effective.

Odds are the ship is still beign tweaked so that it will last. I mean the ship is obviously weaker than it should be. It has a small fleet of ships and lots of weapons. So if players are taking it out within an our of it showing up then I would assume it needs a little more work.

@Overkill: It is obvious you are not Itani. You just want something big to kill and if you try and kill the frigate you get your rep trashed. ;)

I'dd like to see some difference too in the Itani cap ships. They should be more rounded like their other ship designs. Exactly the same cap ships for both sides, don't think that would work from an immirsion point of view.

Well, i dont think that ship is ever going to be the cap ship we own, period.
