And, uhum, So, uhum, char id's do what? i found all the dev, most the guides, errrm, you know who they are, and i dont think the dev-alt chars have low id's =p

Back in the day all the bots name's were prefixed with [NPC], so people would name themselves after the bots. There use to be a bug where you would be part of the bot nation.

I'm pretty sure they are the old alpha bots Lemming, not players exploting the NPC bug.

I had reserved a range of character IDs for NPCs at one point long ago using a random name generator. We're not doing things that way anymore, so they are disused.
