OK, another clueless noob post.

When I hail an NPC ship it responds with some terms in brackets. Like "Would you like to hear about [local laws] or are you interested in [bounties]?"

I assume there's some way to respond "bounties" (for example) and get more information, but I haven't figured out how. Can someone help me out?

hit tab in a chat widow to msg it and then tell it "bounties"
