Trade Guild Missions - Kudos
After reading the recent messages about ship balance, weapon balance, and such, I thought the forum could use an emotional boost. Here goes...
I've worked in a 5 person company with major pressures to meet deadlines, output a high quality product, and be held accountable by a large customer base, all on a shoestring budget. It's a hell of a lot of hard work, little sleep, and you can't please all the people all the time. When things are going well, it's tremendously satisfying, because the hard work is paying off. Other times it seems that many of your customers could use some fine Wisconsin cheese to go with their whine.
I am keenly aware of just how dark things can get emotionally during these times, and the self-imposed stress the Devs are under. I'm also keenly aware of just how much a message of appreciation or encouragement can mean. Therefore, this message is about saying thanks for the hard work. I'm glad I'm sticking around, because it's clear to me that the game really is improving over time.
In particular, I wanted to give kudos for the recently added trade guild missions. I think they are a great enhancement to the game. Once we get past the ship re-balancing and new ship introduction, it is clear to me that content addition is where it's at. Like the recent addition of mining, this is clearly a step down that road, and it has me looking forward to more.
Oh, and that 5 person company I worked for is now a 50 person company and our customer base is about 100 times what it was when I started there. The hard work does pay off.

Guild rocks, the devs rock, vendetta ROCKS. Keep up the good work guys, I for one won't be leaving anytime soon. :)
Same here. Totally impressed with the quality of development, and really happy to have access to such a fun game on my Mac. I'll be around for a while. Thanks, folks -- good job.
The Trade Guild Missions are top shelf, prime grade, industrial strenth goodness. As a foundation for any future enhancements to the trader/miner content, this is perfect. The "Beat the Clock" element (I think I just dated myself) is an added kick that also makes sense.
Nicely Done!

I think asteroids rock! (And some even roll too!)
I've mentioned in another post about this guild trading being cool. I reiterate here. They are fun. They add another really interesting aspect to solo players (and even then, might give pirates new... er... "trade routes").

The new trade missions give a feeling of economic reality to the game, and I feel it's important for us traders/miners. There's also a lot of variety, and it's definitely a good point.
Now, if we could set our own trade company... ;)
