Faction Standing

I started as in Itani and was able to gain all the standing I wanted with them through killing bots. Now I am intrested in increasing my standing with other factions and corperations, what is the fastest way to do this, at the moment the fastest way I can find is to take trade missions.

take transport missions from the statoin that is the faction that you want to raise. Don't do any multi-trip missions, or get and bring back as they take much longer. If you do, take a multi-part mission, quite after the first delivery and get the faction increase and return to the original station. Try and take missions that will only take you one or two jumps away as they are faster as well. Hope that helps

If you are Itani (it sounded like you were), then the only way to gain standing with Serco (should you care to do so) is to go botting in Serco space. Be aware that the Local Defbots won't take kindly to your little excursion so don't waste time admiring the local scenery. Run to the nearest exit. This will only be a problem for you until you hit -599 at which time you will be able to dock and take trade missions.

While increasing my TPG standing I've found that the multipart missions do result in a larger increase in faction standing on successful completion. Something in the range of 25-30 points usually.

yes, but the multi-part missions also are out of your control after the first section, and you might end up on a mission that will take a long time. Additionally if something happens that you are unable to complete one of the follow up parts, you get no credit for any of the legs of the mission.

I've found the best way to raise standing is to pick 2 or 3 factions in an area that you want to work on, make a list of thier stations, and only take missions to those stations. This way you travel back and forth around a couple of sectors, raising several factions at once, and making no trips where you arent gaining faction standing with someone.

If there is one specific faction you are working on, the best way is to only take missions to a system where there is a station of that faction, then you only have to travel for 1 jump to take another mission for that faction.
