Posted system requirements are too high (at least for a Mac)

The website says that VO requires a G3/G4 1GHz with 384MB RAM and 32 MB VRAM.
I beg to differ: 7500/100 (bus speed of 50MHz) with G3 400MHz upgrade, ATI RADEON 7000 (32MB VRAM) and 320 MB RAM, and VO runs without a hitch at even moderate settings.

Yup, I've got an iMac with slightly better specs except for the video card... 16MB Rage 128 Pro. Vendetta runs fine on medium-ish settings.

I think they used a statndard computer set up for the requirments. If you make it too low people may infer the game is "old" or low quality.

To the contrary these devs have tried to make the game universally playable on multiple systems and with mutiple input devices.

Enjoy the game on whatever system you do have. :)

Game runs very well on the old PC with almost the same quality as on G5 mac (I tried both). It is not resource consuming at all (compared to other games).

Yeah, I have an old 500 MHz iBook and it runs on that as well as my friends 2 GHz Celeron. This game is defintely not a resource hog.

It's a testament to Guild that they have continued their efforts to make the code for Vendetta more efficient.

a 500mhz Celeron with a TNT2 runs the game fine when appropriately tweaked and set.

The reason for the minimum requirements posted is not because that's what's needed at the moment, but because(I think) planned future content will require it.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

"If you make it too low people may infer the game is "old" or low quality."

Then set the minimum nice and low, but the recommended nice and high. :P
