Does the mining beam do any damage to ships?

Would be pretty cool if you could mine bots/players and steal whatever minerals they have.

That'd be pretty cheap... Like griefing except worse. You leave the station packed full of cargo, and *wham* you have no cargo. So you go back to the station, reload, and *wham* you have no cargo.

ok ok... You tried mining a fast spinning roid? imagine mining a fast moving ship! If and only if you succeed doing this you will be at the brink of loosing your last nerve, you have already brocken keyboard, mouse, joystick or what ever means you might use to control the game and the best thing is: nobody will know about the heroic act of mining a ship.

so... WHY BOTHER!?
