Is this another E&B?
Hello, I was thinking about getting this game. I was a former E&B player a long time ago. Was wondering if it's just another E&B. Didn't last but 2 months in E&B, too much of a grind. But I do like sci-fi games.
Also, I noticed a posting of players online, peak times and so on. Someone stated around 150 players at peak times. Wow, do you ever see other people in the game? A big universe and very few players, seems like you wouldn't run into other players hardly at all.
Anyways, any thoughts from you active players would help a bunch.
Thanks

Yes, I do run into other players. Interact on a PvP level when I do? No. I'm usually running into players of my own nation in my nation's space so there's no reason to shoot.
EnB was a grind. It did not involve any actual pilotting skill.
Vendetta on the other hand does, and while it appear simplistic in nature, there's plenty of development going on and lots of room for actual player-driven content and events (guild wars, skirmishes, that kind of thing).
What isn't going to help is doom and gloom. If you want to see more players, then go and do something about it, tell your friends. Got 20 people to play so far, don't intend to stop either. If everyone did that we'd have a far larger population.
TB.

Yup, tis true, tis a very big place, but on the other hand, if you are looking for Player V Player combat, it can be found here... Enough said, you just have to look in the right places... ...Also i have kept my chr$ at low levels for a reason..... its not all about *how high you are....* which makes a damn welcome change IMHO
Agreed, for a few weeks i stayed at 6/6/6/2 cause I had the ships I knew that I could fight well in and win. I saw no need to level up anymore. There is more skill needed in this game than any other I have played. Thats not to say that if you are a bad pilot that you cant win fights, there are many ways to win a fight even if it just means scaring off your opponent.
One of the problems with this game is lack of advertisement. Unlike say, Blizzard or Sony, this company can't innundate the market with advertisements lauding the game, so they don't draw the large numbers on opening day like the big name companies. So, use word of mouth. I've been posting about this game on some other boards I'm on and gotten a few people to try it out. Do the same. Tell your friends, acquaintances, etc. Heck, hang out at the 'puter gaming store and point out this game to people looking for a challenge <G>.
