what will vendetta solve

being new to the space MMO games, I'm not sure what the downfalls of other games where.

having played other completely different MMORPGs I know some of the problems assocaited with them and what new games are doing to try to overcome this.

my question then is:
what were the problems with other games of this type that you have played, and what has Vendetta done to solve these issues?
economy, gameplay, control, interface, PvP, cheating, griefing, content, options, player cooperation, need for other players help, ability to survive alone... etc, etc...

You've been in-game...I'm interested in your answer.

A number of these have been addressed and maybe not "solved" but certainly curtailed.
There is awsome player cooperation and the ability to do a few things as a group.
There is plenty of peer help.
Players frequently fly the whole universe to get away from the missions and sight see and return without a scratch.
Content, economy and gameplay are going to constantly evolve.
The interface is tweeked with every update to make it more intuitive.
And, the controls are great!
As for cheating & griefing, a number of steps are in place for the prevention of both. As cheaters are discovered and their methods uncovered, more strict measures will be implemented. Griefers are a problem in all games. There are ways to rid the game of them through peer actions and G/M actions. I haven't seen a real problem with them recently.

Vendetta has solved my innermost desires. What they are, I don't know, but I'm sure they're fufilled.

well I haven't played any flight based MMOs yet, so I was looking for issues specific to them.

what I have played have been fantasy based, issues with botting and buffing characters from those games doesn't seem to translate. trade based economy and piracy were not an issue in those games. the necessity for other players in those games was a very big deal, especially to get rare and unique items, to gain extra abilities by doing epic level encounters.

not sure how much epic level encounters would translate between the two forms. the necessity for other players (healing and buffing mostly) doesn't seem to carry over to this type of game.

without any unique items, the need for epic level encounters to get them, and a player based economy around rare items doesn't seem to exist in this game. if it did in other flight games, I would not know.

what were the reasons you left any other MMO space/flight games that you may have played (not sure how many there have been?)

Well, I played Earth and Beyond for a bit. The biggest difference between this game and that one is that Vendetta is actually fun. Honestly, E&B wasn't fun to play. Fighting was a chore. I have fun fighting in Vendetta. I was bored with travel and fighting within an hour of playing E&B. I don't really know if it has been done well yet, before Vendetta, that is, a MMO space-sim/RPG. This game as it stands has a wonderful core game that is a blast to play. My prime standard for an MMORPG is: would I even play the basic gameplay offline? For this game, I certainly would. The online components, of course, make it spetacular.

The real wonderful thing I see with this game is that it has a strong base. So many MMORPGs make so much content without having a fun game at its center. This game is fun. I would say that is what differentiates it.
