Just wondering, if you are in a group with someone is there any way to see what system/sector they are in?

Last night me and one of my friends took a long tour through space we had never been to before and got separated. It would be nice to be able to see what their health is and what sector they are in because, well, lets face it, if you are in the middle of being attacked there is little time to type out "/msg "Setala->tab" help me! i am being nuked! in system blabla sector blabla... oh wait, never mind, i'm dead because i can type and do evasive manoevers and shoot at the same time"

Just wondering if there is any way, if it will be implemented, or if it was left out intentionally?

When talking in a guild, lowercase g by default, the chat will display their location.

there's no way other than chat though to find out? would be nice if there was a blip on the map or something, no? :)

You'll always be able to see their health, and they yours, no matter where they are. And Lemming's point hold true - if you are seperated, and need assistance, the simple act of using group chat to shout "HELP I'M GETTING R***D" will announce to your group-mates exactly what sector you're in. Makes sense, doesn't it?
Maybe the devs can add this info to the group list (i.e. system & sector beside the name) if enough people clamour for it.

hrmmm, thats odd, on both my setup and on my roomates setup, the health meter for your group members only shows up when they are in the same sector.

I thought you can't see your groups health unless they are in the same sector as you? Why not have location listed by health anyway? It's easier than looking for recent chat from them and would make coordinated activities a bit easier. That's the whole point of having a group interface I think. Think of stuff like queen hunting where multiple people might be in different sectors but working together. You don't nescesarily want to chat your location every time you jump.

You could be right, for some reason I thought I remembered seeing my group members health when he was in a different sector. My apologies :-)

So how about when the group mate is out of sector ie. you dont see their health bar that is replaced by their location.

All ways nice to see where the largest concentration of group is at a glance rather than having to fight for some time to type a msg.
