Vendetta Gate

Oct 24, 2004 StarFreeze link
So here I am again, sparking or trying to spark up some community stuff again. Anyhow, Vendetta Gate the latest of my workings has started to show content. While still in major production, each day something new will be released on it. On Nov 1st when Vendetta becomes open to the public Vendetta Gate will release a great deal of stuff all nicely related to Vendetta and go out of "Development Mode" as I like to call it.

The 3 main databases have been considered 100% operational. Not ever ship, weapon is listed on there but a great deal of them are. Pictures of ships and weapons(in action and just the icon) will appear sometime in the next few days if you were wondering.

Ships: http://www.vo-gate.com/shipdb.php
Weapons: http://www.vo-gate.com/weapondb.php
Systems: http://www.vo-gate.com/systemdb.php

Now if you have any suggestions please email me at starfreeze@vo-gate.com for anything you would like to see on the site. ANYTHING! No idea is stupid, the more content the better. I may even have it already done but it's really a good idea to email me with the idea. Maybe the forum will spark up again, but eh I don't care about that. Just really want you guys to have the best informative site possible for Vendetta. If you have a ship or weapon that isn't on the list, match up all the info that you see displayed in the databases and send it to me. Or even just send a screenshot if you don't want to type.

Anyhow enjoy your game playing,
-StarFreeze

P.S. Yea I know this techically should go under community projects, but the general is the best place for people to see what's going on.

Maybe if you could add a "level and standing requirement" field, as that info is submitted.. That is one of the biggest questions in #100 in the game - "What level/standing do I need to get X?" etc.

Looks great, bookmarking now.

The thing about the licenses and standings is the fact on just that the standings. If you have 1/1/0/0 and have a uber standing with itani you can buy a vulture at some of the stations. But if you go outside the itani network to like NS3 or neutral they require you to have 2/-/-/- so it's really hard to have something base this information off of. I was thinking if there is some nice way to do it, but since buying stuff can changed based on standings and license levels differently it's really hard to figure out what is needed. It may almost require the devs to tell me unless someone can think of a way to show that you can get this weapon by 800 itani faction standing or have 3/0/0/0 if you don't have a good standing with a nation.

Perhaps you should just list the license requirements for new pilots starting at their nation's capitol. Aren't those all the same? There has to be some base level.

The site looks great, sf. Good work!

The license requirements for using an item are set globally, then each nation has its own modifier. (Also, some items have a standing requirement in addition to the license requirement.)

The nations' modifiers are as follows:

Itani 1.0
Serco 1.0
UIT 1.0
TPG 1.0
BioCom 0.9
Valent 1.0
Orion 1.0
Axia 0.9
Corvus 0.6
NS1 0.9
NS2 0.9
NS3 0.9
NS4 0.9

I don't recall offhand how the rounding is handled, but if you want to make a definitive list of license requirements, this list should help.
