I was online for preordering but when i saw that shipping was the same cost as the game - totally $54.99 for me i didnt preorder.
I really wanted a DL'able version too - where i can pay with my creditcard and then download the game.

I didnt understand of this thread if thats gonna be possible.

As far as I can tell, yes.

Incarnate said there will be a DL-only version available for those that want to skip shipment, and that version will be 9.99 for one month, 26.99 for three months and additional discounts for longer terms.

So: YES! everyone will be able to pay/download/play. I am waiting for that option myself, i will register for at least 3 months and i really hope i won't lose my current account.

Question remains: IS THE OPTION ALREADY AVAILABLE? Where? Will that conserve our curent beta accounts. Please say yes!

I canceled my retail preorder because the boneheads at gamestop kept lying about the keys and changed their story on a daily basis. I would love to preorder online for the same price (you can even keep the box for all I care). I just don't want to give those scumbags at gamestop a single cent.

Yeah, this is the first and last time I'm ordering anything from Gamestop. If I need a gaming retailer, I'll go to one of EBGames' brick-and-mortar locations.

The EB uk website is a blank page. This is probably due to the fact they were bought out by 'Game' several months ago. The two local 'EB' / 'Game' stores i have tried have no knowledge of 'Vendetta' "as yet"
If i try 'Game' online i either get 'Die Hard - Vendetta' or for some bizzare reason 'Quake 3'

BUT dont worry it WILL be sorted. Incarnate and the rest of Guild Software have taken this project too far to see some half arsed company foul it up for them.
The best thing we can do is keep ordering and waiting.

let's make one. i will do all the online presence, along with all promotion to get the bussiness going. unfortunately i am based in eastern europe, so we need someone to invest in the warehouse more central (globe-wise) and someone to take care of the distribution (incoming money - outgoing products). who's in?

ofcourse it starts as a joke, but who knows?

now, what i really want to say and be heard is this: at least gamestop has the game for sale. other distributors never heard about it. what can we do? ask twice a day at your favourite game shop for "Vendetta-Online by Guild Software". how many email accounts do you have? use them!
canceling the preorders may wake up those guys but it may also fire back at Guild, because Gamestop could blame Guild and the upcoming d/l version for all the cancellations. so don't just cancel, try to solve your problem first. there is another thread arround where one dev gives away an email at gamestop for those that have problems with their orders. use that as well. having someone asssigned to your account means a lot for a small software company. make it worth it.

and yes, i am still waiting for the d/l only version, please make it proeminent when you announce it.

You may get pre-order status between now and roughly midnight CST (around 06:00 GMT) by clicking the "Billing Options" link on the left sidebar (you may have to forcibly reload the page for it to show up).

The billing options are now available on the left-hand side. Thank Andy (a1k0n) for that. Greggary.. you don't need to pay shipping. Just order 3 months of game time for $26.99, you get all the same benefits (minus the cool printed manual and such). The game has currently been reset.. any changes to pre-order flagged characters from now on will be rolled into the release version.

Pre-order accounts will obviously cease to be available for order on midnight sunday night (monday morning). After that it'll just be regular signups.
