But in case you missed it.. Vendetta can now be pre-ordered at EB and GameStop in North America. Or online for those on other continents. The "preorder-key" thing is still in the works, but should be sorted out this week.

If you think you want to buy the game, please pre-order. It's good for you (gives 60 days free, etc) and gives us information on how big demand is going to be.. which helps us figure out how big of a server cluster we will need, etc.

Note To E&B users: There is also a retail Earth & Beyond promotion in the works, the big benefit being an extra 30 days free. But it can't be combined with the pre-order, so you "only" get a total of 60 days free either way. The E&B promo focuses on retail purchases after launch, rather than pre-order purchases. Regardless, you do get 60 days free, and if you do both the pre-order and also do the E&B promo afterwards (send in your proof of purchase to Strategy First, they email you a promo key, etc), we'll make sure you get some sort of exclusive in-game benefit for your trouble.

I wanted to do more for the E&B promo, but I'm reluctant to push the free time beyond 60 days. Frankly, we have no idea how many people are going to buy the game at all, or stick around after the trial period.. and we're on a pretty ragged financial edge as it is. I will, however, make every effort to make sure there's something cool and exclusive in the game for people who are flagged as E&B promo people (special ship variant or some such).

I went down to my local gamestop and they said they didn't have it avaialbe for pre-order or reserve yet. Something about them not having a "security reserve" of the game. They told me to check back closer to release.

If I pre-order online and get the advaced access key, will I still get a box et. al shipped to me? I want to pre-order and get that box :D

Is there anything in the works for the people in Europe?

One of the companies offering pre-order is charging an extra $20, which is a little on the stiff side.

Maybe a download version (I won't care for the box, if stressed).
Also a payment other than credit card would be nice

Id like to be able to DOWNLOAD and pay with a Credit Card since I moved from Florida to brazil and I would have to pay stiff import taxes on the game if I imported it. Pleeease...

Incarnate, any idea how to avoid an additional 20 $ for the shipping to europe? Otherwise, I would like to upgrade from the trial version.

The proof of purchase for Enb may prove difficult, as alot of users I know had demo accounts which they upgraded with online buddy codes, hence no reciept as such :-/

if the e&b people get something special I want something special too. i'm going to go to my EB and preorder today but i want some like....CrazySpence Alpha super tester ship one that has robot arms that can grab and shake stuff like ice roids.....kinda like an expensive martini maker.

and any of us that were around in 3.1 should like have a cowboy hat on the cockpit of our ships and those from 2 should have a comet tail follow their ship around! and I also want an ice cream.
