No they will not, our payment was to be able to play before release and help this great game advance.

toriyama...no offense meant but, this is the only place I find your name. This one post. Have you submitted any bug reports? Have you posted any bugs or suggestions?

There are testers here that have been actively at it for years and, if I can speak for a good number of them, feel the experience has been the reward.

While your efforts and those of the other testers is appreciated, please don't ask the Devs to give up their rewards for their and their families monumental sacrifices to bring this work of art to fruition.

toriyama, I see absolutly no reason why the Devs should let 1000 beta testers play their game for free once it goes live. The Devs have worked their butts off getting this game ready for prime time. There was a point where they were about one week away from closing up shop due to funding problems. That issue was thankfully resolved.

What I find "unfair" is that you actually think someone owes *you* a free ride. Sure, you and I are helping them by bug testing things. We are also gleaning valuable inside knowledge that will actually give us a leg up once the game goes live. Think how much farther ahead you will be over those just coming into the game. Our reward for alpha/beta testing is that knowledge. As far as the cost of the game and monthly subscription fee, the Devs have *EARNED* that money. They have familys to support, bills to pay, food to put on the table, and backers to pay back. It isn't like they are actually going to get rich here. They are entitled to and deserve every cent it will cost you and I to play because they have worked their tails off to bring it to you. I seriously doubt that they have had much of a life outside of Vendetta (and Sarahanne is one very understanding woman). They deserve their just rewards for a job well done.

I call BS. What have *you* done, other than take up server space, CPU cycles, and bandwidth? Besides, I haven't seen a *single* game where the stress testers have gotten to play for free after the release.

Did you know that Ray's been telling me that the game would be out in six months since we 1st met? He said it would be out in 6 mo when we got engagned and then he said before our wedding and we're apporaching the 1st anniversary now and the game isn't out yet. LOL

I'd like him to be able to keep doing this because he seemed so miserable when he had to go looking for another job when the guys ran out of money (almost).

toriyama, please understand that we actually do not mean you (or anyone else) any ill will. We tend to feel very attached to and protective of this game and those developing it, having been here for so long. I, myself have been playing/testing since June(ish) 2003. Others have been here twice again as long. We just want you (and everyone else who feels that they deserve to play for nothing after the game goes live) to understand why we feel the way we do.

I had to do a *bit* of searching to find these posts. (FM, you might want to lock them to prevent them from being dredged up into the current forum again.) Please read them and understand why we have said what we have in defense of the Devs getting any monies they can legally derive from the publishing of their game.

Yeah, I'm moving into a new apartment where I won't even have internet access and I'm still buying the game just to keep my account.
