Missles?
Im a new player and i only have one gun slot in my space craft. I tried out missiles and....they sucked! I could only carry 8, what gives? I dont really mind that they do low damage, but only having 8 makes them near worthless. IMO you should be able to carry as many as you want, but they cost more or something to make it balanced. Mabye if someone has two gun slots they are good, but i dont know :(
Yeah. Keep playing and try them again once you get some levels. The lower level missles do suck - but geminis are awesome. The stingrary isn't bad either.

Yep! For all the ships you have to decide which weapons work the best. As you dicovered there are some weapons that just don't work. This is why the ships are customizable and as you gain more experience you'll have a greater range of choices for weapons.
Dont even try missles till you get the warthog. Then you have a main gun to wear them down and smack them with a missle to kill them that gives you heavy exp and you can get some better stuff for that large slot.
Use the launcher with 14 missles if you do artemis collectors that is 1400 exp for each launch if you can hit with them all. I would miss 1 out of 3 so that would be 900 so exp in heavy each trip out not really that bad.

The light (yellowjacket) is good against transports. Fire the missile at the transport to get its attention and keep it from flying off. It'll try to shoot you, but you can ignore it because transports have sucky weapons. Then, kill its escorts with another weapon like a tachyon. Once you're done with the escorts, the transport is right there, ripe for the taking.
