TS is awesome. Since switching to my Mac I miss it. When I can get a TS client for OSX, I'll be all happy.
There aren't any TS clients for Mac OS X right now, right?
maybe skype could do the trick on OS X
I've done a great deal of investigation into this -- there is not _one_ good TeamSpeak style piece of software for the Macintosh. Everything is either "Mac version coming soon" (Ventrilo, TeamSpeak), "Mac version unsupported 5 year old incompatible unstable beta" (Wilco), or "Macs? What are those?"
I made a hyper-simplified TS-type thing for Mac/Windoze once, but never bothered to fix it when it developed fatal incompatibilities with higher-end hardware.

Yeah, from my somewhat limited research, Skype (http://www.skype.com) is the only free Linux + Mac + Win VoIP client around. While the sound quality can be amazing and it's a full-duplex system, you can only have five people on a "conference" at any given time. Might be good for CtC or trader/protection squads, but a full guild chat, probably not.
Just FYI,
TS 3.0 is due out the 1st QTR of this year (yeah we are two thirds through the first quarter), and when it is released will have Win/Linux/Mac support, as will the server. Now I have a use for my old Beige G3.
The dWo has been using a TS server for our Linux and Windows users for some time now, and it works great. The only thing to keep in mind that if you have a modem member in your guild, you need to throttle down the channel codec some. You know, the weakest link theory. :)

Sweet, Teamspeak for Mac and Linux...
Anywho, I was looking for alternatives to Skype a while ago (not sure if I can trust it, given that they've made other things with spyware), and found these two programs. Both freeware, both for Mac and Windows. I haven't actually used them, though...

So far, Skype seems fairly trustworthy. In regards to their previous products and spyware, while they were the ones who originally developed Kazaa, they sold it to Sharman Networks, who then added the spyware and other assorted garbage to make money off of it. There is no need for them to do so with Skype, since IP to Phone calls have a charge associated with them.

teh broke at the moment?
Skype works fine behind two strict firewalls. Norton AV seems to approve of it too.
Skype is also available for Mac and Linux (it even works on Unix systems I beleieve) as well as Windblows of course.
The sound quality is awesome, but it costs bandwidth. It is not possible to adjust the sound quality. I have 384Kbits up and if I play music in the background while talking it can cause a little lag.

Ok, seriously, is the server down or do I just have my connection settings wrong?
Yes alienb's teamspeak server is down atm. Something is going on with his cable and he is being forced to use dial-up. So no teamspeak server for a bit.
Free torch!
Anyone with bandwidth to spare please pick it up.
