I'm sorry to pull you guys away from your weekend, guys, but I think some time is needed in the office concerning the netcode. Whatever you did last night didn't work; the server is lagging to the point of unplayability. It needs some help. Please, give it some.

It's not like the Dev MEANT for this to happens, so don't be [deleted] to them. I guarantee you that the moment they heard about this issue (or will hear about it) they will do their best to fix the problem.

This kind of shit happens, that's why this is beta. Just cool your jets and relax.

It is you sir that should cool your jets. This kind of light sarcasm has been present on the forums for years, and it does no harm. Obviously the devs will be on it as soon as they can. Obviously it wasn't intentional - nobody said it was. We all know this, but there is a little irony in the fact that they looked at latency only to change something that brought about the current situation.

We all know it will be fixed soon, and it's a good thing it happened during the stress test rather than after release.

Peace Orion_Prime. The Devs know by now that we mean no harm. I'm sure that this situation will be fixed Soon™. Starfisher (and thginkrej) correctly noted that it was ment as a juxtaposition to the current in-game situaion. No need to get hostile. Take a break and meditate on your in-game progress.

I don't think they meant any harm. ANYway.. the server asserted and dumped core when it became particularly unhappy. I restarted it, and Andy will fix the problem tomorrow (Sunday). He's off somewhere and not near a computer right now. I'll be checking the server periodically today, to make sure it's ok.

On the upside, this is our first production server crash in a very long time. So.. good that all this stress is helping turn up bugs. Keep up the good work everyone! :)

Hey, its working, the beta testers are getting stressed out by the server.

Ah yes, stress goes both ways, but luckily servers don't (usually) burst into flames due to stress. Our sanity, on the other hand...

I think I'll take a break from chasing zombie bots or flying many kilometers into space waiting for the jump to happen.

No offense was meant to any of you, it was merely my way of testing the generl atmosphere of the forums. Apparantly beta-testers are not held in very high regard yet =P

Not to worry, after release we will also be reveared, just not quite as much.... =P

Well beta testers that have little regard for decency and *seem* to lack a healthy sense of humor are not regarded highly.

I don't know how, even in jest, you can (indirectly) call people smart-a**ed a**holes and not expect offense to be taken.

Oh well, I don't think any of our responses could be considered flames - just yours, but that apparently was an act, so it's all good.
