Gameplay FAQ
Okay since the devs and vets have not been able to keep up with the flood of questions ingame, i figured this could help.
The Basics:
"/explode" is self destruct, so don't pay any attention to players telling you it does anything else. :P
Chat:
"!" displays the general tab
"@" displays the mission tab
hit " ` " for the console
Type "/join 100" to join channel 100 which is unlimited general chat.
You can be in 32 channels at once.
"t" is sector chat
"T" sends to the displayed tab, if "General - !" is displayed it will send to your current channel, if "Mission - @" is displayed it will send to the mission bot.
Type '/msg "player name" message' to private message another player.
"g" is for group chat
"G" is for Guild Chat
In space:
"n" opens the NavMap
"k" displays the Character Info for whoever is targeted (if no one is targeted it displays your character info). It also tells you what's in a cargo crate if that's targeted.
";" turns mouselook on and off
" ' " switches between physics/arcade mode
"ENTER" is your activate key
Specifics:
Q: how do I dock?
A: fly toward the station (the green "S" on your radar) look for a dock with blue arrows pointing towards it (NOT a blue force field) fly into the dock SLOWLY and hit the activate key "ENTER" to dock.
Q: How do I jump/warp?
A: For "In system" jumps, select which sector you want to go to on your navmap "n" you will see a line that indicates your route. Fly out 3000m away from large objects (indicated at the bottom of your screen) and hit activate "ENTER" to jump.
A: For "Wormhole" jumps, Use the "In system" method to get to a wormhole sector. Fly towards the Wormhole until you are within range, wait for your battery to recharge, and hit activate "ENTER"
Q: How do I get a Mission?
A: Click the "Mission" tab at the top right of the station interface, select a mission from the list and click the "Info" button. Read the description and Accept/Decline accordingly.
Q: Where do I find bots?
A: The NavMap (viewable in the station by hitting the map button, or in space by pressing the "n" key) lists which bots can be found in each sector of nation aligned space.
Q: How do I collect Cargo?
A: Just fly into it. If you don't pick it up, chances are your cargo hold is full, The EC-88 holds 6 cargo crates.
Q: How do I start a group?
A: Type "/group create" to create a group, and then invite other players by typing '/group invite "Player name" '. While in a group hit "g" for group chat.

Also, please, for the love of ***, use the tutorial mission! It will take a load off of us, with less questions of how do I dock and stuff.
To get to the tutorial mission:
•Dock.
•Go to missions tab (far right).
•Look for tutorial mission.
•Select it.
•Click more info.
•Click accept mission.

Are "group" and Guild the same thing?
It might be a good idea to list some common binds, such as getting the turbo boost toggleable and the EBrake alias.
