I currently have 3 accounts with EVE-Online, and just got into the final Beta for Vendetta Online. I'm downloading it as I type this.

Just wondering if I could hook up with some EVE players (current or ex) who are experienced with Vendetta Online, to kind of help me along.

Yeah im an eve player too. Just got the beta email. Gonan d/l it and give it a spin tonite. Can someone let me know how big the file is as im at work atm. Would be good to know how long i can play eve (with my shiny new geddon :D) b4 i can get started on VO

Yup eve beta testerts (for 7 days) here.

EVE had a more immerse feeling (mostly because of the way it looked). But Vendetta works better and has a better gameplay (as far as I've seen).

The game crashes when I try to run it.

I tried changing the ini file to windowed mode cause I'm running dual monitors here, but still crashes while loading textures.

I have no soundcard on my computer here at work, and no onboard sound.

Do I need to turn off all sound in the ini file? Sound=0 or something?

vendetta has the /mentor feature. use its magic to get help from experienced players. and check out the forums to see which are those.

i also played (tryied to) EVE but gave up rapidly. maybe it's just me

there are thigns i want to do, and if someone knew the eve system it would be easier to explain... :)

love to.. but i have all of like 4 hours under my belt... i have no idea how guilds are made in this game..

Guilds are formed by first someone starting the guild creation process and then inviting 9 other players. The 9 other players have to join within 10 minutes. Type /guild for more information.

Yes we know the documentation is lacking right now.

Have been playing EVE since beta, same name as here. The thing I love about Vendetta is that it runs under Linux and I could probably finally erase the Windows partition.

But I am a little concerned about the long-term motivation factor of Vendetta. EVE is so deep, you can always do something new. I really hope Vendetta will become similar to it in that respect.
