A Farewell Slaughter.
Remember our last battle before the new universe? While we waited for the unknown, we faught long and hard for weeks, with nukes and unlimited resources we kept fighting. Those were the grandest moments of Vendetta. I was wondering if the Devs could so the same for a week before the game "goes gold". Make rings of widgets. Give us nukes. Give us valkyries. and GIVE US HELL! Let us do battle without fear of being chased away by bots, let us wreak hell upon the lands! We will shatter whole systems with the explosions of our battles.
Yah sorry got carried away in the whole "RP" thing.
Anyways I think it'd be sweet if we could do a last battle again. I miss it.
As always post your thoughts.
Cheers.

I hate to say this, but I would rather perfer a mixed fleet besides everyone flying the Valkyre duking it out on each side just because it's the best PvP ship in the game.
To me, that would be an epitome of a game.

I think a farewell slaughter is what we're going to have, given that we won't be given a bunch of money or items, but there are going to be a bunch of total noobs joining up soon!
Just think about it, stress test= huge killing spree party.

while intentionally having a slaughter of n00bs during stress test doesn't sound all that good... it -would- test how well the faction system works in protecting them and how much a sector can take if 'everyone' where in it...
n00bs will probably take a while to wander out of their home systems though, so it'll be hard to congregate in just a sector.

Just killing newbies repeadly would usually drive them away and not come back if they are not in a system marked as gray on the map.
I posted a "Fun Day" suggestion with all of the above a few weeks ago.
I'm very sure that the n00bs wont mind being killed, they will have access to whatever we're going to have... Or they could even play where we're not!
um... Stick... *HOW* will newbies have access to equipment that those of us with higher levels will have?
how about all of us have super sekret access to the old 18 sector universe using some odd-ball wormhole that only allows users who signed up before the new universe in to?
... and the stations in there give you all the equipment you'll ever want... regardless of level.
But this is all a waste of the dev's time... unless they want to goof off too.

paedric: It's called a *reset*
I agree with pae, its not going to take me long to level up, reset or not, i am going to have high levels faster than any n00b, as i know how to play.... how many n00bs in a stock bus are even going to be able to kill a drone 2? let alone a vet.... Although i do agree with a last week event, (a large scale battle will help in stress testing, for obvious reasons) i dont think we should use it as a n00b *botting* session....
I hate botting. Unbelievably so. Can't stand it.
There is nothing good about spending hours and hours sitting in front of a computer screen, doing the SAME thing.
I *HATE* botting.

I guess I missed that reset announcement..
That being said, we will still have a *BIG* advantage over anyone coming in for the first time. The odds will be heavely tilted in our favor.

Is there a date for the reset yet?
