How long does it take to fly from one end to the other end of the universe?

I was just wondering and haven't timed it myself.
Is it about 10 minutes? 30? an hour? more?
Ballpark numbers would be fine.
Fastest time and casual time too.
maybe from Sol II to Jallik and from Eo to Dau and other various distant locations.

I'd say around 15-20 mins....depending on how many storms you hit.

hmm, actually its a bit more than 20 last I got a calm round.

It's possible to make it in 15 mins if you hit no storms. casual time i'd say 30-45 mins....depending on how casual you wanna be.

Last time I did it, I was in a bus, and it seemed to take me about half an hour. Question... How many galaxies are you talking about jumping through? It should be fairly easy to calculate. 3000m from the wormhole, plus to the wormhole (seems to be about 7500m on average), plus jump/load time (two per galaxy, let's say 5 seconds each). If you're talking about 10 galaxies, that's 105,000m, plus 100 seconds in loading screens. Assuming an average of 100 m/s, that's 1050+100, or 1150 seconds. Round to 1200 seconds to account for other stuff, and you're at 20 minutes, not including storms.

Ok, I was thinking about 30 so that's relatively close.
Thanks

I had to make a trip from Rhamus to Betheshee that took almost an hour (in a Centuar Mk. III) via Dau and Itan due to SolII having crashed. So much for *that* bonus.(0.o)

I got around half an hour too, last time I played. The whole thing was sort of involuntary though, thanks to non-loading sectors.

I have serious doubts about being able to circumnavigate the Universe in 30 min.
Just had a timed cargo run from Divinia to Verasi. (Carrying a "Prototype") I was
flying a Valk with Heavy/Heavy. It took 9:54...no sightseeing, but had three storms. To "circumnavigate" would mean traversing 23 systems (N.T. would be
bypassed, as would Helios and Pyronis) to return to your starting point. Using
the above time as an average, it would take more than 70 minutes for the whole
trip. I would attempt the trip and time it, but I'm afraid I would die of boredom
before I got home....

[Edit] OOps. Just realized that Ray wasn't talking about "circumnavigating." Looks like 30-35 min from one side to the other is about right. Nevermind.

It's a very subjective Q, Ray. If you want, a few of us can do some studies, with screenies and discriptive text, testing all the variables involved such as straight line jumps as opposed to roid avoidance jumps... etc.

Just say the word buddy and we'll flood your in-box!

What a way to spend an hour of your time... =)

http://cpga.vendettaweb.net/times.html (don't look at the pic, no results there =) )

Red/yellow/blue lines are how long it takes to go through the nation's sectors. The others are the shortest routes.

Oh yeah, I kinda ran out of time for the n/a results, I'll try do them tomorrow for you.

Heh, you misspelled "Dau" ;)

So THAT'S what you were up to. Nice job.

heh, changed it, thanks.

hehe... Good work stick! Somehow, I knew that SOMEONE would do this so I posted the above. (I'm still laughing!)

Try Dau C-3 to Cantus (Eo side) -- 11 systems
and Dau (Nyrius side) to Cantus (Metana side) -- 11 systems

Other than that, sedina is halfway around the galaxy from Cantus... 11 systems one way, 12 systems the other.

"Deu - Itan "

Missed one Stick.

didn't have time, hopefully doing that today, along with Sol II - Itan.
