Vendetta on EBportal
Hey, this was brought to my attention in another thread, but for those of you dev worshippers out there like me, the following is an interesting read:
http://www.ebportal.com/forum/topic/53/17848/0
This is a thread that John started to let the Earth and Beyond community know about Vendetta. John and has multiple lengthy posts in this thread, which detail some of Guild's hopes/plans for the game after release. It's already five pages long, but it's a good read. Perhaps some of the vendetta community could sign up and help answer some of the many questions.

looks like Vendetta has a second fan-base.
Yeah, nice job, "Mr. Bergman" :P
I take it you'll be sticking an announcement up there for when the beta opens up? Should be interesting to read about... :D

"Yup, we should definatly get an EnB guild formed over there..."
ARGH!!!
Lets get a "First testers ever" guild set up then =)
From reading the thread...
*me thinks the EnB players are pretty Hyped :P

I noticed that some people have signed up on ebportal and started to post videos and images of the game. IF you did that, please ask one of the devs first. The game is still in closed Beta and there is a reason for that. John Bergmann hasn't posted a video and there is a reason for that. If some images or video (especially video) were to be in the gaming medias hands before the devs want there could be big problems.
So hype it up all you want. Answer all the questions you want. But don't post movies or screenshots unless you ask a dev first.
Thanks

there should be no problem with the videos being posted. The main reason that new signups were stopped was because the new universe was in a very boring period with no content and the game currently comes across as pretty lame and contentless.
If the devs wish us to not post i'm certain that they will ask that of us, however the people in question are usually on the IRC chatroom and most likely did ask john before posting them.

The word from John was that he wished people would stop posting them, because they are going to release an official trailer soon.
raynes: I don't see why images should be a problem. Images have been available for years from us [the testers]. Me, FM and StarFreeze have maintained image archives for as long as I can remember being a tester, as I'm sure many others have.
Really everyone, please let the devs handle the images and information that gets posted on other sites. Their livelihoods depend on making sure that Vendetta is marketted properly. They have experience in the industry, have people to advise them, and know more about what the release product will look like.
The best default is not to post images unless asked or approved. The enthusiasm is appreciated though!
