Just bot, thats what I've done, repeatedly. Its not fun, but its an experience. And yes, the first three times were purely due to selfdefense. After that I had a few more due to me being annoyed and going rampage.

C'mon now, you know that if the devs resets your rep they're going to have to start taking everyone's requests now. Of course I also asked them to switch my nation back to Gold two or three months ago, alas it didn't happen. So now I wait for the next reset before switching myself over. Anyway, it's all in good reason. Let's not interrupt their busy workflow.

There are lots of people, who spend hours and hours in boring botting to get -599 from -1000.

I had to do it FOUR times >_< and the result was that I got nothing out of it except for a drop of exp.

Yeah, I did it twice with Serco from -1000. First in the old universe, then again in the new universe. Its easy to do, but very boring.

We're going to reset -everyone's- reputations after we make some changes to what-affects-what in the faction system as a whole. So don't work too hard trying to get +1000 with Corvus or anything.
