Update time!
I'm so psyched!
What did they fix?
What did they add?
How do the storms look now?
WILL I FINALLY BE ABLE TO BUY THE 'BEER' WIDGET?!?!
*runs around screaming*

Oh yeah. When you kill a bot, the reward you get depends on the type of weapon you used to kill it. (or, if you're getting partial credit, then it's the last weapon you shot it with.) This will need balancing, and I still have to revise the mission rewards.
Also looks as if you continue with your mission if you get disconnected.
WOW !!!!
This is a great update. My thanks to the Devs for a TERRIFIC job.

I love the new equipment availability, the map and charinfo in station, the new map and the fixed warpholes. I don't love the octree warnings any time you hit a storm and the boringness of storm sectors. Bots are a good start, but I want LIGHTNING!
I'd want to see some more logic go into avaiability of items. I know there -is- some logic behind it, however I'd want it to be more visible to us "players" what kinds of equipment can be expected to be found at different places.
No, not The whole chart of levels, what missiontrees, what standings and so on. However, knowing that a miningstation will be able to produce <foo> items, and that you need a research factory to get an updated vulture would make it seem a lot less scattered and random, while still not making it too "simple".

Agreed, Spider. I think we all pretty have a good idea of what each nation has going for it, but with factions it's a lot more vague. It's one of the things I'm concerned about in the future--having to spend many hours becoming admired by a faction, only to find that it doesn't have anything useful to offer for your particular playing style.
Perhaps there could be some way of hinting what the faction has to provide to you via background stories or "sample" missions. While the element of surprise and exploration shouldn't be done with altogether, I do believe that we should have a some taste of what we're getting into before dedicating the time to increase standing.

I second Arolte's idea of having faction descriptions so you know what you get when you get to certain levels.
A few things to add to your update list, Spider:
*Engines are no longer interchangeable between ships
*System nav window altered (the map is smaller leaving more room for chat window)
And I *think the dynamic economy has been tweaked, changing the standard prices of some widgets.

engines/ships went into the previous update. its been a while since you could unload engines.
nav window Was covered by this one :
- "Fixed: Chat in nav display"
(not very descriptive, but its the redesign ;)
the economy was altered, yes. See "tweak" about prices in corvus. ;)

I've found that you can zoom the map in and out using the mouse wheel.
Heh, that feature has been around for a while also.
what is the text command to do that? for those of us with no mouse wheel?
