Devs- you should tell Strategy First to give mmorpg.com a heads-up. They still list the release date as two weeks from now, and I highly doubt you'll be ready that soon. You're going to be getting a LOT of hopes up, and taking them down will require no small amount of grace.
PS: Somebody's been copying the News entries to mmorpg.com. That's probably bad too.

I got an email from mmorpg.com about the new update on friday and so on... hehe
It is possible that someone at MMORPG.com does monitor the vendetta website once a day ya know. They do have paid employees that do that.
I see this as a GOOD thing... more attention to Vendetta = more new accounts for the stress test.

Same here. Good thing too, I don't check the news + board as often as my e-mail. (MSN Email (.net e-mail) + MSN Messanger = E-Mail alerts).

you mean registration is up again ???

No. But it is good publicity for when they do open registration... although the release date thing needs to be fixed.

Vendetta Online : New Vendetta Beta this Friday
Date : Jul 21, 2004
Author : Richard Duffek
The official Vendetta Online website has listed a couple updates due to hit the beta this coming Friday, and also posted was a small update on the late but upcoming Public Stress Test:
We'll be doing a release this Friday, integrating a number of changes and new features into the game. Among these will be the implementation of the true NPC Defense Guard, who will handle troublemakers and people of Kill On Sight faction standing in their respective locales. We'll also be introducing the Group PvP missions, intended to bring characters together in border clashes along the Serco/Itani border. A chat revamp is also planned, but uncertain if it'll make it into this release.
The Public Stress-Test: we haven't forgotten about this. Yes, the signup CGI all says "June". Sorry, we're a bit past that now ;). In any event, we hope to open the game to public stress testing in the near future. Perhaps as soon as next week, depending on the outcome of testing with the imminent release on Friday. Thanks for your patience.. the game is coming along.
