Personally i'm happy to have had the opportunity to play the game for free and watch it evolve. Not many people can say they were in on the birth of a game. If Vendetta takes off (and if it doesen't then the gamers of the world need their heads examined) Being able to say that I watched it grow from a 9 sector test demo into an awesome full fledged game will be enough reward for me.

I think having a small tag stating we were beta testers is good enough, I mean we can ask for better weapons and stuff, but whats the point? makes it unfair on all the n00bs. being a beta tester is like being higher than most anyway.

I'd be happy with an accomplishment on the char info screen. I like the idea of it being only for our existing chars too. The tag will be a little bit more reveared that way. A rarity even! How many people switch to new chars anymore anyway? Other than to test the leveling system that is...

Ray: I'd say permanent for all characters, but how are our accounts going to be effected by the release? because it would suck if someone took a break (like magus) and then couldn't get the accomplishment.

Now raybondo's idea is what I mostly favor. This will be a great idea for all of us testers. Shouldn't it be easy to give the accomplishment to those that are already playing? Just apply it to all current accounts and hide tag/info for later.
