After being bored and getting 30 votes for getting muted, which was not an easy task, I have formulated the effects of this magical little feature!

Voting:
•You will be told the number of votes this person has so far.
•You can only vote for this person once.
•The person is not told who has voted for him.
•The person is not told he has been voted for.
•The person can vote for himself.
•Multiple characters does not work to cheat the system.

Being muted:
•Group chat - No
•Guild chat - No
•Sector chat - No
•Bar chat - No
•Direct message chat - No
•Long range chat - No
•Short range chat - Yes
•When 30 votes has been reached, you will be told:
-*** You have been muted
- Reason: Muted by user vote

Please do not unmute me, otherwise the timer will not get tested.

It's official, Suicidal Lemming really is a totally dedicated person.

Although, now we've got to ask the question, are there any plans for adding the muting to encompass the bars or anything? Seems like you might want to, at least with the bars so that they dont drive players nuts inside the bar and no one can do anything about it.

Not a biggie, you can easily fly away if a player is spamming the bar. I think most players will stop spamming when they're locked out of all chats but short range.

My account was muted 1:36 AM yesterday (EST), it is currently 9:59 AM, 8 hours and 23 minutes after my account mute should have ended.

Ahh, sry, misinterpreted it to mean the mute only covered one area...oops

The timer is overshooting the target then? Hmm, at time of post you are at 36 hours, 10 minutes at the time of THIS post?

At the moment it has been almost 39 hours since being muted.
