where can i find a guide for hidden sectors???????????????/
I think all the sector guides are offline, so you'll have to ask someone to guide you ingame. And please, don't post useless threads in the boards. Just ask ingame or on IRC next time.

edit: \/ obnoxious? I thought I was pretty polite. I just think it's common netiquete to look in other places before starting a thread on the biggest forum.

<------------------------They can be found right here
Most of the Community sites have maps and guides for the hidden sectors.

romikq, this is the General Vendetta forum. The question is related to Vendetta. yoann10 has every right to post their question. It is hardly a useless question given that this board lacks even a basic search funtion and many of the archived posts seem to have been "mislaid".
There's a lot of old/dead links in the community sites as well. I had a site bookmarked. I'll check and see if it's functional when I get home.
EDIT: The bookmarks I have are dead. As obnoxious as romikq was being, he is correct in that your best course of action will be politely asking someone in game if they might be willing to guide you into and through the hidden sectors.

You know, there really shouldn't *be* a guide for hidden sectors. Hidden means hidden, and they're hidden for a reason...
Wow, that made no sense whatsoever... :D

That's precisely the reason my map (at http://genin.org/vendetta ) doesn't have directions to hidden sectors.
you can put the hidden sectors in your map if you want. They are going away soon, as the entire universe is changing form.
I know, and I've been frantically laying the ground for my new map, with no idea how big we're talking. 100 systems? 50? 500? Just an estimate would be fine, so I can at the very least get started.
I and others have been exploring and I was going to ask if it was worth our time. I guess Ray answered my question before I asked it.
But, with the ever irritating SOON™, I beg to ask...no, I will not ask.

I've been telling folks for a week that there are no new hidden sectors, and that historicaly the existence of new sectors has always been announced. I'm not sure what prompted people to think otherwise.
Yes how strange ... some uh, deviant or something, must be spreading rumors in game again.
a1 said something to Arolte in one of the threads that lead me to believe that undiscovered sectors were a possibility. When I attempted to ask, I was ignored, leading me to believe in them more.
:-)
:-)
i wonder if you get those sectors to like you... does that mean that nukes will be available... providing that the so called "new" sectors do exist...?

W00h00 the basic operation code for the new map is in place. Yay.

Just a "see? Stuff is working!" tech demo for now. I'll be updating it as I add new features and/or graphics.

cool. last time I saw the spinning stars, 'hey FiReMaGe' was in place of the new map.
Looking good, tish!
Incarnate said the maps would be 16x16 grids...maybe you want to prepare for that many with links to other grids.
<Incarnate> "...the new universe will be 7,680 sectors."
That means 480 grids.

Confirmed. Now as soon as I know the shape of the systems and sectors, I can make the map.
