Well some of you may have heard or may not have, a so call future website will be coming out called 'Vendetta Gate'(Sometime in june). Anyhow the forums on starfreeze.com will be moving there and so will everything vendetta related on starfreeze.com. Now the reason I made this post is the fact that some people have brough up the request that we go invision board. With over 350 members and 14500 posts it's the largest community forum outside vendetta's. So a poll has started on the forum to select phpbb or invision. Please vote as it will help me make my decision. If we do go invision all posts and users and what not will be saved, no need to worry there.

I used to work for Invision Power Services (so I'm biased), and I'd say go with IPB, most definitely.

Well I like IPB better, but PHPBB has some nice aspects about it. Hmmmm Over all I would have to say IPB.

I know more about PHPBB, and my stories are pre-formatted for BBCode. I say PHPBB.

Having used both, I am against IPB. But, hey, don't take my word. Like I said there, I don't use IPB boards, and they have no need of me.

What's the difference?

Well it was decided that we go invision, it's just so much nicer. There is only 1 down fall and that's user owned groups otherwise than that. Some avatars got through the transfer, although they were expanded to 90x90, so I just erased all avatars. Now what you do is upload them to my server so you don't have to do outside linking. When you do upload them you have to know the pixel size of it so it is displayed properly. Screenshots and Stories forum both have upload capabilities if you want to upload your screenshots that way or your stories if they are in nice .txt files or something. gate.starfreeze.com is not the final place where the gate site and forum will be, so avoid any absolute linking in your signatures.

Also we want to get this forum up and going again like it use to be. So at the same time we need some moderators. The old ones about 90% of them have left Vendetta and were taken off. So if you play a lot and post a lot just say hey I want to be a mod of ohh lets say the "Extra" area on the forum or ooo oo "Can I mod Itani nation's?" now if you go to nation specific you have to be on that nation.

Ohh yea one last thing the guild forums VPAI, The Erinyes, Space Cows, IN-SAS, SDF, and SM haven't been used in months now. So if you are the leader of one of those groups and you want me to make the group with access again, just say. :)
