The server is NOT stable, so please log off to save frequently.

There's some random, periodic corruption of an internal data structure of the server, and I added some checks. For now, I have the checks dumping core, i.e. killing the server, so I have a complete record of what happened. Ultimately, without the check the server would be only margnially more stable, crashing at a later time. So I'm afraid we'll have another weekend of server debugging, hopefully the last in a long time.

We will survive.

Nah, it turned out my assert was correctly placed. I added even more strict checking now to figure out how stuff got so out of wack.

Amazing that the server hasn't crashed yet. Crash, damn you!
