Before I make this suggestion, are the badges and licenses suppose to get stupidly high after a certain point? Was this just a small blockage so players couldn't max themselves out super fast? Like what's going on? World cracker is 1mil ore mined AND sold and your not suppose to afk mine. Why? Was this intentional design? I just wanna get some community members, or developer feedback on what's up with these ridiculously high numbers for badges, and licenses.
Because content in the game didn't always show up at the rate (or order) that was necessarily expected, so certain badges ended up being basically unachievable.
On the other hand, if capship mining becomes a larger-scale prospect, along with station construction and other areas likely to absorb fairly "extreme" amounts of manufactured components.. then mining output may scale along with it, and now you have an avenue to higher level badges.
I didn't choose to explicitly do things this way (having effectively-unachievable badges for a long period of time is silly). But, in the grand scheme of things, I don't consider it to be a very high-priority problem either.

If I get mining 24 can I have a badge (lunatic miner)
If it will be eventually possible to mine 1mil ore, then I will refrain from making a suggestion for now
planet cracker is 1,000,000,000 (one thousand million)
and that is rediculous under any surcumstances

I agree drevent, unless vo because a factorio game then 1mil ore is ridiculous
actually I have mined over 2mil but I am totally mad
I doubt you have drevent lol

Drev has a mining licence of 24. So you know, I'll bet you 1 mil credits that he has mined what he says he has mined.

You're pretty cavalier about accusing other players of lying.

Question, does ore mined by your capitol ship count towards these badges? If so it may be hypothetically possible to obtain planet cracker in a single human lifespan. I guess if that is the case, and you have a few tridents working at it concurrently it may even be realistically feasible.
Right, that's what I was referring to, above.
"I doubt you havent lol" I mean
If anything, I believe drevent has mined closer to 3mil since I think like three years ago I just randomly found him mining away an entire asteroid field (lol)
(Was responding to drevent on the fly will on the go)
Also I just think it's silly that you have to mine AND sell the ore. Considering that you get exp when you mine it, not when you sell it. You don't get trade exp when you buy stuff, you get it when you sell it. Seems weird imo.

Considering how trivial it is to AFK mine and jettison, it seems pretty self explanatory.

As far as I know, it's frowned upon to afk mine. And captchas keep players from doing it for too long, so that's why I think it's silly that you have to mine and sell it. Because the captchas basically mean you have to be keeping an eye on the screen

Captchas don't work the same way on all classes of accounts (like premium sub vs freemium, for instance).
And, whether or not the community "frowns upon" something is not a game mechanic, or a design principle. Or even something persistent with time. If I could rely on the community to "frown upon" things, I wouldn't have to keep rolling back widespread exploits.
The badge is in recognition of making a contribution that has value to the game community, economy, etc. If you generate trade profit, you're actually trading something with a station, and truly generating measured profit. If you gain badges for killing Hive ships, you've actually done some activity that's recognizable for meaningful value in some way.
If you "mine" ore and then just let it time out in space, you aren't contributing any value to anything at all. Regardless of whether you're AFK, it's far easier to "mine" large quantities of ore, jettison it, and then just let it time out.. than it is to actually deliver the ore somewhere that might have some utility.
"Mining" ore and dumping it out into space, for the sole sake of increasing a badge, is definitely "silly".
It's okay that you don't understand things, and want to ask questions. That's fine. But maybe just stick to the actual questions, and withhold your commentary about how "silly" you think things are.

Welp after you have just enlightened me on this subject I totally agree. I also thought that captchas happened to all accounts. So subbed members don't deal with it? Curious
No, they/we still have to deal with captchas, the rules are just a lot looser in ways we don't get to know, because if we knew the rules you know someone would try to exploit said rules.
What Luxen said. As a big "for instance", the in-game shops and stores and stuff are all run from premium-subbed accounts, as it is much friendlier to that kind of use-case.
