Well your probably gonna laugh at me but here it goes. I've heard that some time in the future more mods for ingame will be established. I was wondering, if this is true and if it is, will you be using people that are in the test? Because if you are i'd definately like to do that.

Just a guess - they usually don't take people who ask. but you might be an exception (sorry, but I doubt it)

In the meantime until the devs answer:

Last I spoke with the devs about this, I was told that there would be no more guides with the type of access that I have, owing to the tremendous potential for deliberate or even accidental chaos. The existing guide "system" is a total kludge and was never well implemented. Further, the guide as it is now is a very artificial being that really doesn't fit into the game and backstory, and likely won't be part of whatever Vendetta becomes. The devs and I have learned much about what does and does not work here.

There was some discussion of creating more of a "mentor" variety of guide. These could be responsible players who receive some perks in exchange for helping out, but with more limited abilities than the current type of guide. This would be a major undertaking to implement correctly and is likely not a priority given recent events, so please don't hound the devs for it - or even for details because there aren't any. Feel free to make suggestions though :)

Asking probably won't harm your chances (although pestering certainly will), but the best way to be considered when the time comes is to be a level-headed and responsible player.

Interestingly enough, having one guide seems to have avoided so much trouble. If anyone but sherpa was a guide you can be assured that eventually some idiot would abuse his priveleges, yet I havn't even seen sherpa use his powers for evil once. Heck, the devs are worse than he is. :P

Sherpa did use kill command to kill me while I was chasing him!!!!!! Uh, half a year ago?

i think he does that when people are obstructing the way to his objectives...

I can't say that I recall that, Blitz, though I don't deny that it happened. Generally I save /killing for those who request it, and occasionally for those who don't respond to repeated requests to stop whatever it is they're doing. My apologies if none of the above applied.

heh heh I remember when a1k0n /killed everyone in sector 404 cuz someone bumped him.

It was pretty funny to see me get blown out of the blue and your Prom get hit by like 10 flares and explode :P
