no more rammers

-The thing is, I have always seen rockets as supplemental to the standard armament of a fighter. Not the staple. If the flares were given more prox and more damage, but had their ammo reduced to 6, then people would be a lot more judicious about how they use them. They would be used to line up the "killing blow" instead of doing the bulk of the damage.

L-port rockets are different since, with the exception of the hog, the ships that carry them are too slow to effectively make use of the rockets as a staple weapon. So they can afford to use them as a sort of "artillery."

The explosions should be based on mass, say I hit a ragnarok with dual flares, and hit a centurion with the same setup, the centurion should go flying like 100m, where something with a lot of mass, like a ragnarok would only fly like 10-20m

Make flares unaffected by the speed of the ship and we have no problem with rammers...

Yeah, and flares become totally worthless. Brilliant :P
