Internet-wide issues today.
It's a bad day for the Internet. Several providers are having problems, which has caused intermittent connectivity problems across North America and globally.
Fyi, if you experience problems, it may not really be either "us" or "you", but anywhere in between.

Thanks for the update inc. O/
It became significantly slower or what? My friend said that everything was as usual
You're asking, weeks later, about an event from back on August 30th. I mean, you could Google the issue and read all about it, if you like?
CNN has a basic article, but you can get more in-depth information from the CloudFlare blog.
Put simply, it was a cascading failure that impacted a massive provider network ("CenturyLink" now encompasses the Level3 and TWTC networks, as well as the prior CenturyLink-only network), with secondary knock-on effects on a great many other services, providers, and secondary systems.
There have been a few difference instances of major global network / service issues in the last month or so, this was one of them. At the time I was getting tickets from people complaining that they "couldn't connect to the server", because "the game was down". They believed this, because they could reach some other email or website successfully.
But, that's not how the Internet works.. stuff can happen anywhere between two points, and only impact a particular route (making everything else "seem okay"). Two points may not be able to connect, despite both of them technically being "online". Our game is run with a lot of redunant connectivity and service, to minimize this, but at the end of the day, it can happen.
I made this post to clarify for people that there was a major global event. At that specific point in time time. Not.. now, weeks later.
