Ahhh, Bojan... The last time I saw that name was when I was killed in an Arklan sector somewhere in Pelatus. Like five years ago. Wonderful!
Bojan! And all the rest! It's free to log in, come take a look around!
Once a year I check to see if this game is still alive.
yarrr, good to see you tumble.
Yeah, I check it out sometimes.
I remember my time in VO very fondly, and would love to return sometime.
The Unknown System reminds me so much of Sector 14, so I'd love to check that out.
The problem is that I've changed so much over the years that I don't think I'll experience the game anything like how it was, and it'll feel off. That's what happened the last time I tried, anyway.
Still, I'd love to see this game keep on keeping on for ever and ever.
SpaceQuake has a very special place in my heart.

Not a veteran by any stretch of the imagination. I always check up on the game to see if anything new has been added, I read the change log, the newsletter and if something grabs my attention I will find the saltiest most development tilted lunatic I can think of and ask them if they like the new thing. Log on to an alt in one of lich-like guilds that never die and ask one of the leaders for instance. If they are less then 100% angry, then the new thing is worth trying.
Games like VO are a lost art. So its hard really to find a replacement when I fall into the category salty development tilted lunatic. 4chan is my second addiction so the phrase "You're here forever" applies.

I remember when I awesome at Gauss on Mobile. Good times. I read patch notes to kill time see what kind of wacky suggestions people think of. You know the usual.

Well if half the current vets are considered vets, you are positively a General of the Vendetta Vets! 🤪

Figured I'd drop by and say hello! I can't believe how far this game has come since the alpha/beta times... I was just re-reading old forum posts from back then and remembering the friends and fun times we had. I'm glad this game has survived and the amazing community with it.
With much love from a much older Jorus/Cohl.
p.s - ask to go to sector 0.
p.p.s - serco #1

Glad to see this thread has attracted VO vets even if its a few months apart from each other :D
Yes, and I even re-subbed quarterly. Hi.
Bump.
I think one reason I keep visiting here is because of the old forum format. Community formats like this are dead - not sure if the VO community is using something else now (Discord.... IRC?). I've lost thousands of posts over forums that are no longer hosted. Reddit supposedly replaces forums, but they don't have the same niche community feel that the 2000's had. I probably have less than 100 posts here, but it the last community forum online that I've "contributed" to.

We do have a Discord now, but maintain the forums here for suggestions, bug reports, guild changes, access requests, Player Contribution Corps, etc.. This "old" format allows GSW to keep a searchable and reasonably organized historical record for future reference.
Yes, but my mum don't want...
Corvinus checking in.
