In game keyboard
Dunno if anyone else has/is having trouble with the keyboard. The keyboard shows up covering 80% of the screen from bottom to top only seeing the small chat box and the keyboard but it is impractical (only noticed till now due to a new tablet) to use on bigger tablet screens. I went from a 8inch to a 10.1 inch screen and it's such a chew to type anything.
As a solution why not add a resize option to the keyboard similar way android does it, or add a option to disable the game keyboard and use a external keyboard?
No clue if to but this in bugs, suggestions or support ticket so I put here in general.

All I recall is that the keyboard was designed because android keyboard apps actually took a lot of processing power, at least back when VO was first being developed, causing the game to run poorly. pretty sure thats what Incarnate had said. Bluetooth keyboards work for the game, however, so I imagine if you had an app that let you force open the keyboard from the notifications menu it might let you use it anyways? Not sure, and won't be able to test that theory till later...
+1 for at least a minimized-height version of the VO keyboard. that being said... +1 for the VO keyboard being released as an android default keyboard too :P
[and I think it would be a suggestion more than a bug, since while not great, its not that the base keyboard is not working]

Yeah, probably more of a Suggestion.
We do intend to put in an option to allow OS-local keyboards, although it's going to be some work to figure out all the different ramifications of iOS vs Android vs Windows-touch style OS overlays, and what they do.
I don't think performance is an issue anymore (it used to be, years back, as Luxen mentioned), but it's also a bummer to lose the Macro definition options, and anything else we put into "our" keyboard. But, for various reasons, particularly international setups, we likely need to enable OS keyboard support.
I don't have an ETA for this.
