Is there any kind of ETA on when we'll be seeing a new atlas model added to the game?

Most accurate way I can answer that question:

We tend to do everything in a major related burst. So.. a whole bunch of graphical changes, then a whole bunch of mission changes, then a whole bunch of AI changes, then a whole bunch of server changes, and so on.

Basically, the more development can stick to a particular "topic", the more efficient we are, because all the parameters of (enter system here) are in our short-term memory, and we're thinking about them a lot right then.

Lately, we've been doing a ton of (long-overdue) server maintenance and upgrade work, along with a lot of analytics stuff. The latter is super cool, because it really makes certain future development far easier, because there's a lot more insight into how things are working (whether that's the performance of bot AI, or the trade economy, or whatever).

Bringing this back around to the point: There is a whole "graphical asset update" project that's on the horizon, and covers a lot of things. I am hopeful (although, no promises), that the Atlas will make it into that "batch of related projects".

I don't have an ETA on that "project batch", and frankly I hate giving out ETAs anymore, because they're invariably wrong. But, know that it's on the horizon, and that updating the Atlas is something that I care about.
