Title says it all, I didn't see anything in the newsletter about needing to unlock the mission or anything like that. Some other players remembered that they had seen the mission themselves, but now it is missing for them as well. I'm not sure if it was removed, is bugged, or if I'm missing something that is preventing me from seeing it. I do have a goliath of my own, tried having it in m7, being in the goli and not being in the goli etc..

Nothing has changed, as far as I know. The informational or salvage mission only shows up when you do not have a Goliath in your inventory after having built one.

That sounds like you're talking about the insurance mission to get your goliath back after its been destroyed. I'm talking about the new "Salvage Your Goliath" mission that "allows players to break their Goliath capital ship back into constituent parts...". I want to exchange my goliath for parts so that i can make a Trident.

To clarify, the Goliath does need to be destroyed(not in your inventory) and the salvage mission will pop up and become available as an alternative to the insurance mission. Phaserlight was correct. Hope this saves someone else some confusion.

I really think there should be an informational mission that shows up even if your goliath is in your inventory, so that players will be aware that the possibility is there.

The mission only shows up once your goliath is not in your inventory AND you have completed the mission trees. No mission trees, no salvage.
