Lanthanic, Denic, Pentric, question etc.
There are several tutorials in my list now calling for mining of these higher value minerals. I've done some scouting around the systems generally buffering Itan roaming through the asteroid belts in all of them.
Are these higher value minerals located further out generally from the central capitols or are the more needle in a haystack situations?
My ask is based on time needs as I really only get about an hour or so to play each day right now. I've used the wiki to get a picture of what I'm generally looking for color, formation, etc.
Just curious. On the holy grail of noobie resource building.

Yeah, needle-in-haystack and not in all systems. The only pentric i've ever even heard of is in Edras, for example.
Thanks Luxen. Good to know. Given the mining values I figured they'd be few and far between.
About pentric:
My database is far from complete, but I do have it listed in Azek and Verasi in addition to the mentioned Edras.

Get a fast ship, a roid scanner, and the targetless plugin. Targetless will keep a database of every roid you scan so you can find them easily again. It also has the "/unroid" function that will scan a sector for unscanned roids, making it much faster to go through a sector.
Based on my informal experiences, I find that grey space has more sectors with these rare ores.

psssst. hey, buddy. PaKettle's Prospector plugin is much nicer than Targetless's! /whisper
I did a bit of scouting around last night and noticed that most of the greyspace roid belts are heavily infested with various types of assaults and guardians - is this just an occupational hazard that you have to deal with to get these rare ores or am I looking in the wrong places ?
I found a few unmarked roid sectors but nothing much in them apart from occasional vanazek.
BTW Prospector-2.5 doesn't seem to work on Oculus Go, it just spills exceptions all over the GUI and not collect any data.

Wow - thanks for the Pentric list.
Thanks Spry. I haven't got into the plugins yet so now is a good time I guess. It kind of makes sense to me that Grey space would be where the higher value minerals would/might be.
Copy that Luxen
Latos/Sedina/Odia is the milanar hive's location, so bot sightings are not constant. Serco and itani also have 3 systems each like that, though i dunno system names for them. As such, those locations in greyspace you *might* find have no bots some days @slash
@garvon I found a large 96% pentric roid in Verasi. I'll show you where it is for 1m - contact Dentek Collector - XX62 in game.
@slashgorden - I'll pass on that one buddy for now. I've barely got a million in the account - lol.
Or i could just show you where one is for free if you promise not to heat the blasted thing up to some ridiculous amount hehe.
Have you subscribed yet, plan to,not sure yet?
My 2 week buddy keys always go to waste because no one can ever use them. If you see "Johnny Knoxville" in-game, i will tell you how to claim it and apply it to your account. It lasts for 2 weeks which is well enough to get a great grip on VO.

I've tried the various prospector plugins and they either don't work or they mess up the UI big style on VR. I've written my own, which I think is much better mostly because it creates an online database of the roids and so several players can collaborate. Here's the info from the readme :-
Asteroids scanned are automatically added to this database.
Downloads all known asteroids as you enter a new sector.
Targetting asteroids shows their composition before they are in scan range.
Find asteroids by ore type, in current sector or nearest sector.
You can leave your mineral scanner at home and use the port for a weapon or extra mining beam instead.
No UI integration causing problems on VR or mobile, all information shown in the console.
Simple to operate: only one command.
In the console type :-
/find pent - to find asteroids containing pentric ore. (the argument is matched in the ore name)
Here's how /find works :-
Within radar range: the asteroid containing the highest percentage of the ore and coolest temperature is targetted.
If that is already targetted: then the next ranking one is selected.
Outside radar range: suitable asteroids are listed by id and the closest id is targetted. Fly there and try again. (allows you to locate hard to find asteroids in a large distant field)
Outside of sector: the closest sectors containing that ore are listed.
I need some help testing and populating the database as I only have around 2,000 roids, please contact me in game 'SlashGordon' if you're interested in helping. BTW the database already contains heli, pent, denic and lanth - so it is very useful already. After testing, the plugin will probably be limited to guild members only.

@Hellcat - yeah I subscribed a while back. Thanks.
@SlashGorden - sounds impressive. I'll reach out when I get a next run at the game. FWIW I don't have consistent daily game time due to R/L needs. Sometimes I get a good run at it or daily have mini spurts. Would love to help out - just letting you know.
