A short discussion on Basic nation ships (SVG,WTD,IBG)
Can u all post the PROs/Advantages and Cons/Disadvantages of ships :-
1)Serco vulture guardian
2)Warthog Territorial defender
3)Itani border guardian

Or instead of being lazy you can make a spreadsheet with all their stats and compare them yourself
1) Corvult is better in my opinion. Unless you want to chase people with a vult for whatever reason.
2)The best Warthog variant.
3) The best Centurion variant but the Orion Rev C is almost the same and is available in Latos and it's not worth getting the IBG down to Latos just to have basically the same ship.

@Nick, spreadsheets don't tell the whole story. The Wiki does have a comparison table if that is what the OP wants.
1) Like all Vults, it has a thin profile head on or from behind. But from above or below it is quite vulnerable. Its advantage is that it turbos @ 225 m/s with a turbo drain of 55/s. This makes it an excellent interceptor. You can buy it at a license level of 4/4/-/-/-, meaning it is one of the best ships for intercepting that a free to play pilot can buy.
2) Before the in game speeds were changed (ask the old vets about that), the WTD was arguably one of the best ships in the galaxy. Now, not so much. It does have its uses. With a license level of 2/2/2/-/- pilots get access to it early on. With 11000 armor, it is the most robust of all the basic nation ships. Though the increased armor means it does have increased mass. It has the most thrust and spin torque of all the basic nation ships.
The WTD is the only basic nation ship that comes with a large port. Two popular weapon combos are gat/flare and neut/megaposi. The neut/megaposi combo is popular with mobile users because it results in a natural chainfire when set to the same trigger.
(@Heini calling it the best hog variant is a bit subjective. It may be the best for all around uses, but due to it having a 60/s turbo drain it can't give chase. For chasing, the greyhound is clearly the best hog. For mining, the Mineral Extractor is superior due to having a built in mineral scanner and having 24 cu of space in its cargo hold. The mineral extractor also only requires licenses of -/-/-/-/2 . Meaning you buy that hog without even taking basic flight. )
3) The IBG has a ridiculously small hit box. Combine that with its 70 m/s non turbo max speed, 2 small gun ports, and 7200 armor, and you have a recipe for an elegant fighter. The license level to buy it is 2/3/-/-/-, meaning that players get access to it early on. The IBG also has 4 cargo space, the most of all the basic nation ships.
The negative (imho) with this fighter, is that while it has the most armor of the Centurion series, it still has 1800 less armor than the SVG. It has a turbo drain of 60/s with a max turbo speed of 220 m/s. Meaning that it will not outrun the SVG.
(@ Heini it is debatable that the IBG is the best Centurion variant. In the right hands, the Superlight is,imo, better. With a 75 m/s max speed, and 7.2 Nm spin torque, the superlight is quite slippery and as a result, a great fighter)

I can't say what is the best overall, because each ship has different strengths. Personally I do gravitate to the SVG due to its intercepting capabilities as well as its use as a fighter and thin profile. It is my opinion that it is the most well rounded of all three basic nation ships.
The WTD is the most accessible. By this, i mean that both Itani and Serco pilots can hold +600 UIT as well as being home nation admired. Whereas with the Itani and Serco basic nation ships, you can only buy one or the other at any given time.
For a staged pvp battle (like what happens in Sed B-8), the IBG is excellent, but the pilot needs to avoid flares. If they can do that, they will have a good time in this ship.

Thanks "We all float" and Heinii
Pretty sure the IBG is so light weight that it accelerates faster than the others. I'd like to see them do short drag races to see though hehe.
Anyways WeAllFloat seems to have said it all but the best way to see is to fly them yourself.
At one point I've fell in love with them all, getting SVG on my itani char was just for fun when I first tried those.

We all Float summed it up nicely, but the WTD is great with an IHDPC. If you don't like fighting until the end, this ship isn't for you. If you like to win, this is a good one to do it in. Some pilots won't engage if you have a SCP or an X-1. WTD gets more fights.
Depends what you're doing but in most combat scenarios the SVG is arguably superior, The ibg's only real advantage over the SVG is superior top/bottom profile which isn't that much better oddly enough I have less trouble piloting the IBG than vultures because the mass is spread out further ahead of the CG and the lower spin torque translates to smoother dampened movement when aiming with mouselook.
Flying a light SVG or Craptor I end up jerking around way too much and more often than not overshooting my aim.
The IBG is definitely faster when empty or with sub 600kg loadouts but as soon as you pack any reasonable amount of weight (~910kg) the extra thrust/boost on the SVG will make it more maneuverable and since the mesh/texture got updated its top/bottom profile disadvantages have been greatly diminished at the expense of being slightly easier to hit from the front/back/sides compared to the old model.
They're all great ships but yeah depends on the situation with imo a very light IBG wins for furballs with the SVG being a far superior all around-er (mostly because of the very low boost drain) and the warthog whilst still remaining a very strong ship is best suited for botting as in pvp scenarios if it isn't engaging in a 1vs1 is much easier to splode than either other big-nation fighter.

The Itani IBG and Orion Rev-C are both competing for best short range fighter in the galaxy.
The UIT WTD is perhaps the most responsive ship with a large port.
The Serco SVG is one of the lowest license ships with 225 max turbo speed.
The Serco SVG stands out for excellent turbo performance 225@55, in addition to being a great fighter.
The Valk and arguably the UDV are better ships than the SVG, all have 225@55 turbo, but license requirements may limit you to the SVG.

well people tend to run from scp's because of the insanely awesome high armor.
