I get this is a game is supposed to be fair gameplay.
However how can u play this game when there are what 12 people maybe 15 max. Lets face it capship owners have alts to man turrets so they arnt helpful. And when lookin in other threads like queen deshields with energy u need 2 ppl or more then how can u do that when the 4 to 15 people are all doing their own things?
And looking at all the updates yes i get f2p is to get ppl to get a taste of the game yet how can people do that when they join, only able to replace so many ships (at start wut maybe 100 gud ships) when they have no pvp skill and handicapped on mobile makes them lose that amount easy, then u limit the autoaim (yes u stated reasons, yet why not get a system working so their ping is the delay of the autofire e.g. 100 ping is 100ms delay on autofire) and on top of that u can get station expansions, u cant get new ships when out of crystals cuz of the 20 crystal limit, thats wut 2 ships and u can easily lose em in a matter of mins. And all this combined makes it not a very fun or enjoyable game at all.

So keeping all that in mind how does this attract new players if the taste of the game is so little and bad?
Im not saying change everything but i am saying maybe change the crystal limit to maybe a good 50 a day. I have subbed many times and whenever it ends i get dumped with a bad ship, no weapons and no crystals with a rubbish limit of 20 crystals which is no where near the amount of fun (in fact there is no fun) then when u have sub.

The EC-107 doesn't require crystal. It has a 2 small ports and is ok as a pvp ship. The 101 MKII and type B variants also have 2 ports, and don't cost crystal. All these ships can be equipped with plasma HXs which don't cost crystal(and fire out to 800m ish). Two pilots in flying dual sp port ECs equipped with plasma HXs can deshield and kill queens.

So clearly pilots CAN get new ships when they are out of crystal.

If a new pilot does all the newbie missions, and levels themself to 4's across the board, they will have over 200 crystal (probably closer to 350-400). That can last a while. And if you get a lite sub, you get something like 50% more crystal a day i think.

You can always stock up on ships, that's what most people do before they switch to lite or go f2p.

You won't face crystal issues if you manage them proper. It's 20 a day AFTER you have maxed out at 4/4/4/4/4. Early combat, mining and trading gives a LOT of crystals. Easily above 300 which is more than enough for a beginner.

You aren't required to use a corvult for every PvP match, you could always use a cheaper vult mk3 which is about 6-10 ships depending on f2p/lite.

A lot of mobile players are skilled at PvP. The autofire delay might have an impact on that, I haven't seen it so can't really comment...

The issue is you are going from sub to f2p so you are gonna be screwed on crystals. Stock up preloaded ships or keep your sub up.

Hey Anewold, I've been playing for about 2-3 months and really haven't found the limitations that you complain about. There are more players than you might think, I often run into other players around UIT with names I don't recognise because they're not vocal on 100. I grinded through the missions and never found a shortage of crystals but then I did spend a lot of time shooting bots which seemed to provide a healthy supply.

For PvP, can't you just agree to fight in disposable ships and weps before you start ? It's fairer anyway than one player massively out-gunning the other.

I can see that Deneb can be a bit frustrating without a decent setup, but I've killed plenty with a vulture and a pair of HX's - just takes longer.

The only problem I have is the number of ships I lose trying to get into nation space where I'm KoS - but that's perhaps a good thing for the newbies learning their trade there :)

I dont know whether the Deneb mechanic ignores Crystal costs, but if you buy back the exact same ship that you lost while participating in a Deneb mission within the mission sector, you will be reimbursed the cost of the ship itself. So, you should be able to use an expensive ship in Deneb without incurring heavy Crystal costs.

I don't think it ignores crystal costs, so it could be a huge drain if not noticed early.
