Not only can you just run the game as an android game on PC, but wouldn't you imagine that many more people would play this game if it was available as a steam game, or just simply available, with no advertising needed? I don't understand why it costs, which means less people would be interested in buying, to play on PC....
You can simply run it as an android game on pc, with the exact same experience, and no money needed--- So why make lite mode cost money? The game isn't even advertised on pc, where MANY gamers come from in these types of games, and those who do purchase lite, are the only ones who do play on PC (as they already know the game is great from the mobile experience).
So why don't we torch lite mode altogether?

Well when you see the differences between Android and PC you can probably tell why it costs money, lite mode is there so you can play for a relatively cheap price, with increased crystal acquisition rates moreso than that of the free to play android version. The reason you pay is simple; you must pay for a good game and .99 isn't that much if you have a phone to pay it with and you have a job, if you don't have a job/earned income or parental income you probably shouldn't be complaining about Vendetta, at least not on a PC.
As for steam the game was greenlighted but steam has since removed the greenlight from their site, I really don't know why guild software isn't up on steam either tbh it would bring a lot of people in lol.

VO was Greenlit before Steam discontinued the process, and VO remains eligible to go live there when the developers feel that everything is in place to make optimal use of the opportunity.
Perfectionism. P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N-I-S-M. VO isn't on steam yet because of perfectionism.
Steam has a big pop-and-drop pattern for launches. This leads to the phrase "you only have one chance to launch", which is somewhat common in the industry. In retrospect, of course I wish we had launched years ago; I didn't expect things to take nearly this long. But, we are working hard on the Steam launch. I keep mentioning it in the Newsposts, and I met in person with Valve, last week.
Ah I see, I look forward to the launch and the future of vo. Thanks again devs for everything you do :)
Did they buy you lunch this time? :P
So the question is, will it be free on steam or a one time purchase?
Pretty sure it'll remain a subscription thing.
A PC sub has no limits. No crystals and is availible for all platforms you care to play on.
The question is not about why the Premium sub costs money. The question is about why the restricted free mode is only available on mobile.
The answer is that the devs are busy and cautious. Originally, there was no free mode and there was no mobile. When mobile devices became a viable platform and the game was ported to them, the devs determined that the bulk of people who use mobile platforms would be too self entitled and financially incompetent to cope with the notion of a subscription. They were forced to implement a dumbed down free mode catering to those players in order to remain competitive. Due to a combination of being overworked, fearing that free-to-play might destabilize their PC income, and the fact that PC players have more reasonable expectations than mobile players, they have not bothered to make this new mode available for PC accounts. Most PC players haven't been bothered by this unfairness, since we mostly aren't interested in being restricted anyway.

Not exactly...
The PC market is very different from the mobile one so a different strategy was needed.

The devs need to make money, they are a small team. The game is frequently being improved and updated. The devs listen to suggestions from the playerbase. What is the issue with paying a buck a month?
Bt got right to the point. Nothing is free anyways...
You will understand when yer older.
Inc. Are we at least a lot closer to the steam launch since you first said it in 2013 (believe i found an old post once talking about 2013 greenlight launch)
Ps. Just want to randomly state this, inc is correct on when to launch a game, im sure overwatch and battleborn was a prime example of that, one mustered while the other one died down fast.

God.. I sure hope so? I mean, I think we're in a much stronger position to launch in some ways, which is good.

Because there is 23 tiny versions of raybondo(only with big eyes)in a barn somewhere, all hungry. And we all know big eyed children are the hungriest.
That made me chuckle a little
