2018 me works a lot more billable hours than 2013 me did (infinitely more, in fact).
If you're stuck at some biglaw sweatshop, I'm going to enjoy a hearty laugh.

Here ya go darth!
Also, one of the more discussed graphs leading to the overhaul of the SVG:
The game always boiled down to just a few sectors of action back in those days..
And Xihucoatl.... was not the master of gauss!
Rumors of the Gat-flare-spammyness of the Serco Dominion were greatly.... justified....
.... I blame Sanan!

hahaha, those are awesome, TRS; have any more old things?
Oh baby! Data, data, and more data!!! I believe I have the front end code to for this. If only I had the time to recreate the back end, this would be glorious to have nowadays. Thanks for the reminder dude!
I dont remember ever giving you the front-end code to that Darth, perhaps you wrote your own?
That was actually a really good learning project in data manipulation for me. A great little web-app.
Here you go, he's a really old thing that looks really modern still!

I get what you mean about CtC, it was something to fight about with real in-game context, but it did end up rather broken over the years. It may yet make a return, who knows! It was hinted at when it was pulled...
Yea, you did give me the front end to that stuff. It was a pretty random encounter. I got a hold to you for some other code, and you were like "hey check this other stuff out. Good luck getting it working though." So I have it floating around somewhere. Like I said, not nearly enough time to get it working. Hopefully someone else is inspired and cobbles something together.
Those logos are pretty sweet. With a little color and detail, I wouldn't mind seeing them in game. Hell with a little color and detail, I wouldn't mind seeing you in game either man! Hue Hue...Also talking to you yoda! Where the hell you been?

...i'd buy TRS a month just to pew him a little, if he were willing
As much as I hate to enlarge his head anymore, TRS is one of best prom pilots I've flown against and was a smart enough pilot to pass his knowledge on to some of us. Being a gteat pilot and a great teacher is not something that always goes hand in hand, so if you are able to get him in game, ask him some questions. He's more than capable of answering them effectively.
The only reason I have a reputation for large-heady-ness is because such a reputation was necessary for the character.
After all, I was competing with Ecka who had the largest vendetta-based ego of all time.
Sorry Luxen, I cannot accept your generous offer because if I did I wouldn't have enough time to actually pew pew with you (beyond this short and soon-to-close window of easter).
Here's something else old, we used to build tridents like this:

I'm just happy I got my own slice of pie-chart.
I'm not Xihucoatl lol, I wreak that dude.
Well if I can get a better paying job so I don't have to work 5 jobs to pay the bills I might jump back in to see the changes, can't justify it at moment but wish I could. Of course last time I flew that I can remember actually flying and not using the game as a chat client, rags were gold only, so yeah, I would have a lot of catching up to do.
Correction Xihu might not have been blaqk, I can't remember all the alts. So I'll make the correction on the basis that if Xihu isn't blaqk, I would never want to insult him but insinuating that he was. I think any honourable serco would rather be Greenwall than Blaqk, and he's a turd!
blah blah blah Sedina B-8
Yea, B8 or it didn't happen...
Several honoUrable serco already are Greenwall.
i havent played heavily in ten years. havent logged on in 7. just spent about half an hour last night running around Sedina and Odia.
The basics of VO have not changed much. Same UI, same mission system, chat system, physics, etc. Reading some websites, about manufacturing and cap ships and such, apparently there is quite a bit more involved than there used to be.
However, what has changed is me. People change. I am not really into grinding in games anymore for levelups. But I know a lot of people are... I used to be! So I would still recommend it as a great space MMO for my younger self.

Vendetta is really not a grinding game, though. I mean, sure, grinding is there if you want it... but you really have everything you need to experience the best of what VO has to offer within a few hours.
Now, will you have that type of experience within a few hours as a new player? No, definitely not. It takes time to build those relationships, discover where one fits in within the VO tapestry, and home in on those types of conflicts.
That stated, I didn't "grind" for any of those things. They just sort of happened... and I was in the right place at the right time.
You'll notice the video I linked to is 7 years old; it's true I don't play Vendetta as much as I used to although I still enjoy hopping on fairly regularly. I attribute it more to becoming a father than to my taste in games changing. I still pretty much want the same thing in a video game as I did when I first logged in to Vendetta 15 years ago.

Bumping a really old thread (well I guess its only on the second page). I check out the home page of VO once every few months for updates, or whenever Incarnate sends out a newsletter. (Shout out to Inc for not spamming the crap out of my E-mail).
I wanted to single out a single line in this thread:
"The basics of VO have not changed much. Same UI, same mission system, chat system, physics, etc. "
This is really key for me. I'm glad that the basic look/feel of the game is largely the same. IMO, if you have a winning formula ("IF"), you should continue that formula. Games, products, movies... a lot of people try to iterate on success and end up making something worse.
I had to log into my account to check out my registration date of 2003 - lol. From 2003 to this year - It looks and feels like the same game - but improved in the right places. The game should always feel the same - but Vendetta has added in all the right places. Graphics are great, UI tweaked, and content added where it doesn't affect the feel of the actual game.
The only reason I don't actively play this game is because the game I wanted (and was into at the time) were shooters. During the Alpha test, I wanted space quake. And boy did the alpha deliver. However, this game never quite captured that once the universe was expanded. (and its fine, it never intended to be space quake).
This game continuously reminds me that it has one of the best twitch based combat out of all the multiplayer games out there... So I check up on it from time to time, hoping either community has grown so large that I can enjoy sector 9 station battles again, or the game balance has changed to focus on what I think is one of the best features of this game - non stop player versus player combat.
Not a knock to what VO has become, I just know what I personally want in the games I play. All I can say is, keep up the work on this game. It feels solid. The game on my cell connection works better than AAA titles like Playerunknown Battlegrounds.
And if Guild Software ever chooses to sell space quake, by far please send me a newsletter or 10.
