Well, i think the answer might just be for Guild to get ahold of somebody who can make the iron on stencils, and buy like 100 of them. I think they'd cost 3-4 a piece, and they could sell them fr 8 -10 dollars. Yeah, that's steep. But I'd pay anyway, and I'm WEARING the freaking valk hoodie now anyway.
Hey everyone!
I took a pic of a valk and cut it in the GiMP and took it to my neighborhood clothing maker, and got a Valk hoodie with a Valk on the front and http://vendetta.guildsoftware.com and www.guildsoftware.com on the back. So far I've gotten abotu 25 comments on how cool it looks. Everyone go get one now!

Hi,
can post a link to a photo of it, please?

I think the t-shirt etc. thing is a good idea. Guild should get some mock-ups, get some preorders, and have Cafe press print up some tshirts, hoodies, whatever. I don't know what the profit margin on a cafe press shirt is, but I bet alot of people would like to have such an obscure and cool shirt.
Another thing that I would likely buy is a sticker for my car. One of a Neutral Territories logo. You could do this with all the nations. They would also go good on mugs and shirts.

I'd buy a mug with the Vendetta logo or a frigate on it...
Edit: Hey, take a look at http://www.atlaspen.com/. I found it on a Google search, and they seem to have good prices (think $2 a mug). They charge a setup fee and have minimum quantities, though...

Meh. digital camera is on the fritz, so until I get a friends or fix mine, no.
ya know, i thought web cams can make pics and stuff like that. if you had a web cam you should be able to take a pic with it, then up load the pic to a link and yeah. only problem is that it would be a little less sophisticated than using a digital camera.
just my opinion

No webcam.
I have pics of the Valk, and a day off tomorrow. How 'bout I pop it into Freehand and make some stylized vector-cartoon valk images?
Anyone remember the cartoon Hornet image that Khral/Arolte (I think) made way back when that model was the Gold Light? That kind of style.

Back in MY day we had 3 types of ships, AND we couldn't buy them! We chose the ship we began with and we were happy with it!
;)
As a said in another thread, who DOESN'T want a hoodie with a valk on it?

back on topic...
The cartoon thingy would rock. I know a guy who said I could order 30 from him for 6 bucks a piece...so I think I could sell them for 10 and mail them to you...maybe..Looking into shipping costs...

Oh, he just said (he's behind me) that Iron on's would be 4 dollars. He said the sweatshirts really only cost him 1 dollar. Wierd...
Why doesn't one of you setup a café-press store and just send the profit to guild? I'm not legaly entitled (<18, and if your not in the usa it is probably not allowed too) for a cafépress store... -_-

Hell, I'd buy about 8 bumperstickers of various craft if they were printed up. Id definetly buy a hoodie or other clothing item with a Valk or something on it...
I like the idea...I like it very much and this would be a way for Guild to make some money to sustain itself!! YaY! this idea could save guildsoftware Inc.
Now my question is this...to have the items sold bearing Waylon's artwork would be a violation of copyright laws unless royalties were paid and permission given by Waylon and to have them sold because of Vendetta, you'd have to pay royalties to GuildSoftware and those facts would raise the price.
Now you can submit the idea to Guild as a consultant to sales and charge 10% profit margins, (the standard consultants fee)and then they would have the option of accepting the idea (you get paid) or rejecting the idea (maybe, if you're lucky 1-time admissions check)and then they would own the idea and no royalties would have to be paid.

Sheean, the problem with Cafepress is that they're really expensive. Here are some of their base prices:
T-shirt: $14
Hoodie: $25
Mug: $11
Mousepad: $11
Baseball cap: $13
Small poster: $14
They give base price discounts for volume, but it still costs a lot. For Guild to make any kind of profit with this, they'd have to charge prices that would drive it way out of my (and undoubtedly many others') price range. I'd pay 10 bucks for a t-shirt, mug, or mousepad, but this would cost 15 or 20. I could see paying 15 or 20 for a hoodie, but they'd have to charge about 30.
