population?
Hello all! Just stumbled upon this game online and it looks pretty sweet, don't know how I haven't seen it before. I was wondering how active it is as far as population and pvp wise . Is the universe poppin? How big is the gameverse?
VO is kind of weird as far as population goes, sometimes it is indeed 'poppin', but then there are the times when it is quite empty too. A solo player can get quite lonely at times, but a few of us old types used to refer to VO as SpaceCrackâ˘, because once you have the habit you will keep coming back, even if it is just to keep tabs on things.
PvP here is quite good, I prefer the more "hah, surprise muthaf****" side of things, and there are those that like to take the other route and prefer a good old fashioned duel. There can be wars between groups of people, as with real wars a lot of it is chatter and propaganda, but it can and does sometimes end up in a furball or two :) so yeah PvP can be fun, and as long as you are not expecting to mine outside a station in the darker areas of space (grey space), you should be able to find fun too.

I was in Sedina B-8 a couple nights ago (the last time I played) and there were around 7 other players as well as a few player-owned capital ships; UIT space is usually pretty active around busy times, as well.
I'm looking forward to a time where you can wander into any given wormhole sector and given the level of security expect to see a conflict taking place. There have been times like this. Stumbling on random player battles are one of VO's big payoffs to me.
(How many times can I say time in this post?)

I've tried to quit VO. you can't. Once you start, you can never stop.
Infact I feel like playing right now.
/me runs off to download VO again.

I'd like to say ^ is wrong but year 15 starts shortly for me
Luckily I don't have withdrawals anymore.
Get out now while you still can!!! (Just kidding). Its a good game. Very addicting.
I quit and havent come back, im just here since i saw that blaqk was back.
100 chat is usually active. I see quite a few pilots on my travels, more so than at an earlier date, so I know it is getting more populated lately.
There are down times when I am the only one logged on in my guild (The largest guild as far as active members, sometimes we have 20 or more on at once)
I say stick with it for a bit, learn some good fighting tactics and see if it's for you or not.
I will never leave VO! >:D

Lol, see what I mean? How are you "not here" but knew when blaqk is back? You are keeping tabs man, it is OK, welcome to SpaceCrack(tm). My name is yodaofborg, and I have been addicted to SpaceCrack(tm) since 2002. I keep putting it down, but then I remember that I never did kill Shape enough, so I pick it back up again :( *sobs*
