Vendetta Online's Rising Popularity
So, I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that VO has been a bit more....trafficked. This may only be my perspective, and as such I may entirely wrong in saying that I have not been around to witness a more busy time in VO.
I've heard of the days where there could be 10-20 people fighting in a single sector at any point in time. I had never really witnessed this though. But recently it seems like every time I log on there is someone waiting for fights. And not just one person. Always seems to be a group of people already fighting somewhere in the 'verse.
It feels my little heart with a level of joy that words could not explain, much less my own poorly spoken words. I have been so overtaken with emotion that I could find no other way to express myself other than making a video.
To all the fighters out there, this video is dedicate to you. Long nights and good fights!
But to all others, the good, the bad, the tall, the short, the pretty, the ugly, the dirty, the clean, the helpful, the griefing, it makes no difference. Rin Ganborro has but one thing to say you: "Pay Something, I'm going to fire on you...."

Remember we just released for iphone; I know that doesnt account for all the activity gain, but still. Also, I have met 4 new pilots from that platform allready and I greatly enjoy their company. If the rest of the iphone pilot adopters are like that, Ill be greatly thrilled. These people actually read the tutorial; they actually understand VO is a combat game. I am especially happy the devs managed to release for this platform officially now.
I've also been spending a bit more time pewing than normal lately, and I have seen older faces logging in too. Ive not found that "10-20 people fighting at a time" point quite yet, but after how quiet this spring and summer were, just having 6 in the same sector feels crowded to me. I, too, love that feeling, and wish everyone great pews.
And to you, Nihilus, thanks for the vid!

That's great to hear the activity is becoming more player-visible. We are seeing more players, and getting some traction on iOS. It still has a long way to go to catch up to Android, but there's definite interest, and it's steady.
I expect we'll have further activity increases from other upcoming launches. We're looking at the Mac Store, the Oculus Store and Steam (the big one), so the trends should continue.
The platform-release stuff is soaking up time from gameplay changes, which I know is frustrating for some, but we do have a lot of changes planned, and getting these releases "in stores" will be great for the game and company-health overall.
