*** Vendetta 1.8.418
- Goliath may now be manufactured from the shipyards in Latos.
- New Ragnarok graphical ship assets, across all platforms except for
iOS (delayed there, but coming soon).
- Older non-manufactured Goliaths purchased through the LTS testing
program have been revoked, but their inventories and addons will be
retained in the respective stations.
- All Manufacturing missions will now return components to inventory if
the mission is aborted before the current set of objectives are achieved.
- Fixed possible buffer overrun in multi-threaded renderer when there are
a lot of effects going on at the same time.
- Fixed issue with many effects starting up concurrently when a entering
a sector that has been running while empty of players.
- Input menu should now fit on smaller screen mobile devices.
- Touchscreen HUD components are now sized and placed relative to a
1920x1080 screen size for phones that are higher resolution.
- Fixed an issue with the look-around tutorial in the Offline Training
Simulator where it stopped responding to input.
- Added option to hide the touchscreen discs on the HUD. It is located
in Options -> Advanced -> Interface -> HUD Settings

I'm not claiming the Ragnarok is personally my favorite new design, but it is a "modern" asset that at least doesn't look dated like the old one. This is really important for our upcoming Steam goals.
Curt is evolving well as an artist, I think his next ship may be one of his best.
At the same time, we're in a bit of a hurry to get the assets re-worked in time for Steam, so we don't have the luxury of a lot of "sending assets back for modification" (which, historically, I tend to do a lot more often, throughout the development process).
Anyway, this kind of stuff is always subjective, but we're striving to re-work a lot of the game assets quickly, while maintaining their "classic" shapes and general parameters.

I'm afraid we can't do anything with that kind of report. You'll need to actually give us specific information.. either on Bugs, or here, or via ticket if need be.

Will the Goliath manufacturing mission be only available from combat licence 5 onwards, like the Trident mission? I tested with a brand new character and couldn't find the mission.
I don't mind the new rag model, but since you were moving ports around, why not make beefier bomber variant with a turret?

It looks like how a space ship would be built. It is really only missing a weapons pod on the lower side to house the large port slots. Nice job Curt.
